Darkness

I have never met him. Beside him being more of a droid than organic, I have no idea what he looks like. And still I knew it was him. The heavy droid-ish footsteps, the raspy breathing or the cloud of darkness that follows his presence makes it hard to miss-match.

He pushed past the still firing droids, cackling to himself, although it soon turned into a cough. "They sent children to destroy my station? The Republic must be running out of Jedi." he said, taking off his cloak and turning on a lightsaber.

The Sith were always so full of pride, I don't understand why did they let him carry one. It is disrespectful, and shameful, for both us and him. But I do suppose I have more pressing things to worry about right now than customs... For example, a scary cyborg ready to chop us all into bits.

"You must be General Grievous." Ahsoka spit out, looking him up and down. I reached to my belt and grabbed my hilts at ready, when he fell into another fit of laughter-coughing.

"He's just another tinny, boys. Let's scrap him like the rest." Ahsoka then added, powering up her green lightsaber, me soon following her actions and getting in my fight stance. And when shots were fired from behind us on Grievous, me and Ahsoka charged at him.

I clashed blades with him, while Ahsoka went for his legs, neither of us realizing his strength. The claw he had instead of his foot grabbed Ahsoka and threw her across the hall, her back colliding with the wall, all while pushing me down with his lightsaber locked with mine.

A small voice in my head begged me to look back and check on Ahsoka, but I pushed it back. I cannot let my eyes wander away from the General, or it would be fatal.

I turned off my lightsaber, spinning away from his blow, and turned it on just in time to sever off his other hand, while he was still recovering from my unrespectful get away.

He growled in anger, turning fast around, his blade almost slicing through my side. I jumped back, and delivered my blow, his blue blade quick to block me.

Do you want to know a disadvantage of fighting against a droid? Kicks and punches are useless, and they hurt you more than they do them. That's the problem I'm facing now, my fighting style depends as much on physical hits as on the lightsaber ones. So, I have to be extra careful not to forget that detail.

From the corner of my eyes, I notices Ahsoka stirring awake, so I flipped away from the General, and waited for her to join me, not that I would need her help, but I can't have all the fun, right? While waiting, Grievous and I circled around each other, and I took that as a chance to connect my hilts together. He doesn't stand a chance.

Something glimmered in his eyes as I did that, and I know that it was recognition. Did it really take him this long to find out who I am? Droids...

When Ahsoka joined me at my side, I nodded my head to the side, hoping she'd understand my plan. It seemed she did, when she took a few steps back. Grievous launched at us then, all according to my plan.

We fought our way through the hallway, and when Goldie rolled past us, I Force-pushed Grievous back a few steps, and we turned tail, running inside some sort of storage room. We were trapped, but as long as Grievous's attention was away from the clones and the reactor room, it was something I can work with.

"Here." I whispered, pointing behind some shelves. We hid in the shadows, waiting for the Generals arrival. I was good at that. Hiding, staying in the shadows, surprise attacks.

"Don't tell me you are hiding from me now. Where did the fight you were putting up go?" he laughed, as he entered the room.

I felt a poke in my shoulder, and when I looked over to Ahsoka, she was pointing over to some box on top of a shelf to the right of us. I gave her a nod of approval, and she levitated it over, letting it clatter on the floor with a loud noise. That should distract him a little, I hope.
