The lunch bell had rang. I decided that even if Mr. Clark was right about Chris, I was going to find out for myself. I walked toward my locker to find Chris already standing there. He had a tiny flower on one hand and his school books in the other. He was admiring the little flower, it was a pretty soft purple color. He looked up to see me walking towards him and his face lit up with his smile. "Hey," he said, "this is for you!" He handed me the little flower and I smiled. "It's beautiful Chris, thank you." I hugged him as he said, "It made me think of you." We started walking together. People were starring at us and I pretended like I didn't notice, but I did. Chris knew I did too. "I'll explain later." He said leaning down to whisper in my ear. That was the moment I knew Chris could read me like an open book. That's when I discovered that I was in deep because he was able to read my thoughts and emotions so easily. "Where are we going?" I asked as we walked off campus. He smiled, "you'll see." As he took my books to grab my hand.
