Chapter Four
Lauren's Point of View:
I walked into my dorm after classes that day, with a huge smile on my face. Nicole noticed right away, giving me a questioning look.
"You okay?" she asked.
"Yeah," I nodded, not sure if I wanted to go into detail about what happened earlier today.
"Did something happen?" Nicole asked, eyeing me suspiciously.
I shrugged. "Kinda."
She grinned. "You wanna tell me what's going on?"
Deciding that there's no point in hiding this, I explained everything that happened to Nicole. She stopped me occasionally to ask questions, which I gladly answered. By the time I was finished explaining how intense - yet amazing my day was, I had a huge smile on my face.
"So do you plan on getting back with him?" my best friend asked in between bites of her sandwich.
"I don't know, we only just saw each other today," I pointed out.
Nicole nodded. "That's true. But would you want to get back with him in the future?"
I sighed heavily. "Maybe? I need to learn to trust him again. And that's not going to be easy,"
"If he ever hurts you emotionally again, I'm going to jump him." Nicole laughed, with a hint of seriousness in her voice.
"Did you say anything to him two years ago? Ya know, after I moved?" I asked, curiosity getting the best of me.
"I called him and asshole and told him that he deserved to die alone," she shrugged, like it was no big deal.
"Nicole!" I gasped, "don't you think that's a little harsh?"
She shrugged, trying to fight back a laugh. "No. What he did was fucked up,"
Shoving my face in my hands, I sighed. "I know. And it was weird seeing him again because it's like, what if I start trusting him again and that happens all over again?"
"Well, maybe he's grown up in the past two years," Nicole shrugged, changing her whole outlook on this thing.
I just laughed at her bipolar-ness.

For the rest of the week, I got through my classes just fine. I happened to see Michael a lot in between classes, so during one of those times, we exchanged numbers.
It was now Friday night, and I was currently getting ready for a frat party with Nicole.
Instead of wearing a dress, I wore a tight burgundy tank top and black jeans, with black flats. Nicole actually went all out, by wearing a dress.
"Ready?" she asked, just as she was finishing up her makeup.
I nodded, feeling the smile on my face grow bigger and bigger by the second.
Since the frat house wasn't too far from campus, Nicole and I walked. Not even being close to midnight yet, the amount of drunken people outside the house made me roll my eyes. I knew that this was usually what went on at frat parties, but I mean come on. There were so many people.
Trying not to trip over anyone or anything, Nicole and I made our way safely into the house. Right when we walked in, Michael, Luke, and Calum were already in sight. My best friend squealed and ran over to her boyfriend, who she obviously hadn't seen in a few days.
Michael smiled and walked over to me, offering me a drink.
"What is this?" I asked.
"Cherry vodka," he yelled over the loud music. "Wanna play truth or dare? That's what everyone's getting in a circle to do."
