20 comments for next part :)Thea walked up the stone steps to the temples. Everything was clean and neat, from the stone paths, to the statues and the well-cut grass. Although, there were some temples which weren't in a very good state, since they weren't taken care of. Only the most important temples were in a good state.
Thea stood in the doorway of the massive red crypt with human skulls on iron spikes, she still didn't like the look of the temple. She joined her hands behind her back, her fingers brushing her long white skirt. She was wearing a matching white top with puff sleeves, and her hair was half up, falling gracefully on her back.
"Is it a bad time?" She asked to the person kneeling in front of her. She was giving Thea her back, so she didn't see her coming.
She turned around abruptly and stood up, only to kneel again facing her with her head down, her purple cloak covering her right shoulder and half of her arm.
"It's an honor to be at your presence, Teodora Maximus"
"Reyna, how many times do I have to tell you? You don't need to do that every time you see me" Thea rolled her eyes and gave her a gentle smile.
The praetor raised her head, a small smirk on her face. She raised to her feet and bowed her head before speaking.
"It's an act of respect to kneel and bow before a God, and a Goddess like you deserves to be treated as such"
Thea snorted and looked away amused. She turned around and started walking away of Bellona's Temple.
"I think you already did enough by building me a Temple" she said, pointing with her head at the brand new temple.
It was made of white stone and was almost as big as Jupiter's. Even though she wasn't one of main deities of New Rome, the Romans still built her a Temple as big as their main Gods, since she was the Goddess of Gods.
Once the news broke in New Rome, Mars being the one who announced it and she visited the Romans for the first time, they adapted to her very quickly. By the two weeks, they'd built her a temple and people were already praying to her everyday. Plus, they'd built a statue of her in front of the University of New Rome.
"A Goddess deserves a Temple" Reyna replied walking around a fountain "And our Protector needs to be respected"
"Anyway" Thea started saying, moving the attention away from her "How are things going?"
"Everything is good" Reyna nodded and stood straight "Camp Jupiter has a new strict schedule, boosting new and more complex trainings. New Rome has set a curfew and forbade wandering alone. We will be ready if war falls on our doorstep"
"Good. The chances that war comes here are slim, still, it's wiser to prevent than to suffer" Thea approved of the new restrictions.
"Well said, protector" a boy voice was heard behind her.
Thea turned calmly around to see two blonde guys climbing down the steps of Jupiter's Temple.
Both had blue eyes and were wearing the Camp Jupiter's uniform, but the one who spoke was much taller and muscular than the other one.
"Hello, nephew" Thea smiled warmly at the son of Jupiter and praetor of New Rome.
"Aunt" Jason smiled shyly at her, his eyes shining with amusement.
The other guy gave a subtle snort and walked closer to Thea. He knelt in front of her and stretched his arms in front of him on the floor.
"New Rome is honored to be gifted of your presence, Teodora Maximus" he said without looking at her "Words cannot express the joy I feel in this moment"
