...

...

...

Minji's eyes fluttered open to be greeted by darkness.

The basement was still dark, the only pain Minji felt was the dull throb at her collarbone.

'What... time is it...?'

The officer rolled onto her back, stretching gingerly so she wouldn't open the lacerations on her collarbone.

Her body, who did not care what her mind thought, slept rather peacefully.

Click.

Minji glanced over as she heard the basement door unlock and open, faintly hearing a yawn.

She sat up as she heard humming, squeezing her eyes shut as light suddenly flooded the room.

She rubbed at her eyes, startling when a voice called out to her.

"Ah- good morning Minji!"

'She's back in her normal peppy mood.'

Hanni skipped over to her, a light smile on her face as she sat down on the edge of the bed.

"I hope you slept well?"

"Yeah."

'It's as if she forgot everything that happened yesterday.'

The bunny grinned, leaning over to pat Minji's head, "I'm glad my puppy slept well."

'Puppy???'

Hanni hugged Minji's arm, "do you want anything from the store?"

"Huh- no...?"

"Food?"

"No."

The younger girl pouted, pulling away, "you're gonna have to eat something, I'll get you food since Dani isn't here to cook."

'Huh?'

"Where's Dani?"

"Oh! She went to the next town over to sell one of her art pieces since she found a client, she'll be back by tonight."

'Even better.'

"Actually..."

Minji scratched her neck, looking away, "I haven't had this in a while..."

Hanni's eyes immediately lit up as she leaned forward like some little kid who was being told a secret.

"Hm?"

"I don't know, you probably won't find it here."

Hanni shook her head, "I'll keep looking for it."

'Perfect.'

"Really?"

Minji gave her a small smile, speaking her wish to Hanni who immediately nodded.

"I never heard of that but I'll try to find it!"

The bear watched as Hanni stood up, "thanks."

"Mhm! You're not too hungry right?"

Minji shook her head, "no I can wait."

The younger girl saluted her, "be right back Minji-yah~"

Minji watched as Hanni walked away, immediately standing up as she heard the soft click of the basement door's lock.

A faint sound of another door being closed signified that Hanni had completely left.

'Idiot... Not handcuffing me while leaving me all alone.'
