As Ryan sprinted through the dimly lit corridors of the castle, he finally spotted Judah and Alex in a wide hallway. Their faces lit up with a mixture of relief and concern.
"Where's Jamie?" Judah asked, urgency in his voice.
"Taking Angelia to safety," Ryan replied, panting. "But she's critically injured."
Judah clenched his fists in frustration. "We should've gone together! We can't leave her alone."
Before Ryan could respond, a deafening explosion rocked the castle. Dust and debris rained down from the ceiling, sending them scrambling for cover. "What the hell is happening?" Alex shouted, ducking behind a stone pillar.
"I don't know, but we need to move!" Ryan urged, looking toward the entrance, which was now illuminated by fiery blasts from outside. Another explosion shook the ground beneath them.
"Is it the guards? Or...?" Judah started, but he didn't finish as another blast echoed, this time closer.
"Let's get out of here!" Ryan shouted, motioning toward the exit. They raced toward the doors, weaving through falling rubble and the chaos erupting around them. The sounds of the bombardment intensified, filling the air with a sense of impending doom.
As they neared the entrance, Ryan glanced back at Judah and Alex. "Where's Jamie? We need to find him!"
"He should be close!" Judah replied, scanning the area as they dodged more debris. "We can't leave without him!"
Just then, a massive ship, dark and imposing, hovered overhead, its cannons firing again. They braced for impact, unsure of what was targeting the castle. Panic surged through them, but there was no time to waste. They had to escape before it was too late.
