"Okay, okay, whatever you say, Mom will agree," Zhang Cuimei said, wiping her tears. "What a dutiful child; how could the Lin family be so heartless?"

Lin Sisi lowered her gaze, saying nothing more.

"Ah Qiu! Ah Qiu!"

As she packed her things, Si Nian rubbed her nose and closed the box. She walked to the window and opened it, noticing the snowflakes drifting down.

It was strange; snow had come only after the New Year.

The Zhou family's house was large and tall, giving her a view of the entire village nestled between the mountains and water. It was cold outside, and not many people were around.

Smoke curled up from chimneys, and with the falling snow, it looked like a perfect landscape painting.

Suddenly, something tugged at her pant leg.

Si Nian snapped back to reality and looked down.

Yao Yao, bundled in warm clothes, had climbed down from the bed, looking up with outstretched hands. "Mama~ hug~"

The little one was chubby and adorable, wearing a tiny hat.

Si Nian scooped the little bundle into her arms and planted a kiss on her cheek. "Are you hungry, sweetheart? Wait for Mommy to take you downstairs for breakfast."

Si Nian said as she pulled out a light pink down jacket to put on Yao Yao. The little one had just woken up, her body still warm from sleep. It was important not to let her catch a cold.

Holding Yao Yao's hand, Si Nian led her downstairs.

Little Er was sweeping the floor when he saw Si Nian come down. He immediately dropped the broom and ran over, saying, "Mommy, Mommy, I've packed everything up!"

"Dad said we're moving today?" Si Nian nodded slightly. "What about your brother?"

"He's in the kitchen."

Just as Little Er finished speaking, Si Nian spotted Little Da coming out of the kitchen, wearing an apron and carrying a plate of egg pancakes and a bowl of congee.

He placed the steaming breakfast on the table, wiped the sweat from his forehead, and looked at Si Nian with shining eyes. "Mommy, breakfast is ready."

Indeed, thanks to Si Nian's guidance over the past few days, Little Da had learned a lot in the kitchen. He could now make some delightful breakfasts. Before Si Nian arrived, mornings were all about boiled eggs or potatoes. Now, he had mastered making congee and frying pancakes.

He could whip up all sorts of dishes like egg pancakes, scallion pancakes, and meat pies with ease. Zhou Zedong thought to himself that if he learned these skills, their mom wouldn't have to wake up early to cook breakfast for them anymore.

Si Nian nodded, saying, "You all eat first. I'll go make some formula for Yao Yao."

As soon as she finished speaking, Little Da dashed into the kitchen and came out holding a bottle. "Mommy, I've already mixed it and let it cool down. It's ready to drink."

"Bo-bo wants milk!" As soon as Yao Yao saw what he was holding, she stretched out her little hands eagerly.

Si Nian paused, chuckling helplessly, "You little rascal, you've done everything this morning. What am I supposed to do?"

Zhou Zedong handed the milk bottle to his sister. Feeling a bit anxious, he looked at her and stammered, "Mom, I... I just thought, since I have time off, I could do more to help."

He wasn't trying to curry favor; he genuinely wanted to lighten Si Nian's load. Even though he hadn't mastered these skills yet, he had learned from the Lin family that his mother was planning to go to college to become a teacher.
