Chapter 2-A burning sensation

Bondita was serving food to everyone with the help of bhari babu in the morning.Today everyone was present at the dinning table.Bondita was just praying that nothing starts this early in the morning as roy choudhurys having peaceful environment at the dinning table was no less than a miracle.But miracle is called miracle as this happens very rarely but bondita had no good luck today.Her ever so quiet som dada started the morning session today.
Som:Dada,did you put some kind of petition in court again to change the society?
Anirudh looked up from his delicious aloo r dom and looked towards his always quite brother,he usually respects and looks up to Anirudh a lot,but his tone today was filled with annoyance today,which was rare from som.
"I put lot of petition in court som,which one are you talking about?"
Binoy:what did you do again? can't you pass a single day without your fitoori?
Anirudh clenched his jaw, bondita started calling her goddess and went towards her patibabu with boiling hot Curry bowl in her hands.
Kaka:will there ever be a day when we eat together in peace?
Anirudh:som,I asked you a question.
Som knew he shouldn't have brought this topic in breakfast,and he was scared of his brother's reaction,but if he brought it with him alone then no one would have been there to save him,now atleast he has his kaka and boudi to save him from his brother's anger.
Som:That...I don't know,but my head declined my report yesterday and when I asked him about it and had a bit fight with him,in anger he said to ask you about that.
Kaka:What?How dare he? doesn't he know who you are?
Binoy:da,even if everyone knows who we are, sometimes your older son's behavior make people lose their mind.
Looking towards som,"I will take care of him, don't worry"
Anirudh:woah baba,so what are you going to do? unjustly remove that teacher from his post?
Binoy:No one gets to disrespect roy choudhurys.We already became a joke for you many times,we somehow managed to digest and avoid those.
Anirudh:we are not gods baba,you don't even know what som did and what that teacher said properly,you can't take action just from listening whatever your son says.
Som:What are you trying to say dada,that I am lying?
Anirudh:when did I say that som?And about which petition,what happened?no one can take advantage of their position to take away the opportunity that's rightfully yours,but we need to know the whole matter to reach the solution.
Kaka: There's no need for that,no one should have the courage to lash out on a roy choudhury,if we give leniency to one person then everyone will start acting like our equal.Binoy,you do what you need to do.

Now Anirudh got up from the table in anger and slammed his hands on the table the food on his plate scattered around the table.Batuk who was quitely sitting beside Anirudh,his foods also got spoiled.
Anirudh:You guys are impossible,what the hell do you guys think we are?we are zamindars,we should look after our people not take away their earning options for every silly mistake.

Binoy: trying to argue with a roy choudhury isn't a small matter ANIRUDH.
'Now the shouting session started too,offo what should I do with these people'
Binoy,kaka, Anirudh and som was shouting at each other at the top of their lungs,the servants who were helping bondita to serve the food stood still and they were shacking with fear.

'Bondita,you have to do something,few years ago I stopped them by saying alphabets but what will I do now,both patibabu and sasurji is under heavy work pressure,som dada also studies all night.They are at their wits ends as it is,and now this.Think bondita,think."
While she was thinking all this she dropped the hot Curry bowl on her feet accidentally.She could feel her legs feeling the hot Curry and that burning sensation was too much.Her legs were protected by the heavy sari her kaka sasurji gives her but her legs weren't,her feet became red like tomatoes instantly.

"Ahhh--patibabu"
Anirudh was startled when he heard bondita scream his name besides him,it took him a few seconds to understand what happened.
"BONDITA,why are you so careless"his eyes instantly got moistened,he hated to see bondita in any kinds of pain.
Kaka:bahu,what happened?oi some bring a bucket of water here.
Bihari ran to bring a bucket of water.
Som also ran towards his room to bring medicine and bandages.
Batuk:boudi,you ok?
Now every member of the family was looking at her with concern.In midst of the pain she felt a bit relived that atleast they stopped screaming at each other,she didn't like it when her family fights.She smiled a bit to give them reassurance,"I think so, it's a small burn"
"What small burn, can't you look after yourself properly, it's burning a lot, isn't it?
Anirudh gently held bondita and made her sit on his chair and bent down the touch her feet.
Kaka:what are you doing Anirudh.
Anirudh:not now kaka,keep your sanskar away from me for a while.
Bondita: patibabu I am alright, please don't touch my feet.
Bondita didn't feel like a sinner or anything if Anirudh touched her feet,but for some reason she was feeling a bit shy.She was sitting on a chair and Anirudh was sitting on the floor in front of her gently holding her feet and blowing on it.
Anirudh:you stay quiet.You don't always have to give respect to your kaka sasurji's words.
Kaka: it's useless to say anything to you, atleast my bahu understands me,bahu don't put the foot down,wait.AREEEEE O BIHARI,did you die?
Bihari: coming Malik.
Bihari came running with a bucket of water, Anirudh snatched the water from his hand and gently soaked Bondita's feet in that.
Anirudh:did the pain lessened?
Bondita: patibabu it was nothing from the beginning,and yeah it lessened.
Anirudh gave her a angry look with almost teary eyes.
Batuk:Boudi,how do you even land yourself in trouble all the time?
Bondita:what?did you think I am you?it happened mistakenly,I am not like you who hits a tree with my eyes open.
Batuk:ehhhh....we can all see how clumsy you are,and me hitting the tree was an accident,not this.
Bondita:this is also an accident.
Binoy who doesn't want to admit it, but he also started to think bondita as his family,he can't openly show his concern like others so he chose to scold batuk,he was annoying her while she was in pain.
Binoy:batuk,keep quiet.
Anirudh was slowly massaging Bondita's feet in the water and bondita was feeling all shorts of weird things,she was about to stop Anirudh when som dada came as an angel with his first aid box.
Som:dada,take this medicine rub it on Boudi's feet or else it might leave a mark.And here's the bandages,warp her up.
Kaka:mark? Anirudh pour the entire medicine on my bahu's feet,their shouldn't be any mark.
Anirudh didn't pay attention to his kaka's words,took the medicine from som's hands and started rubbing it on her feet, slowly everyone left the dinning place.
Bondita felt like she was in a pan,now she feels like she jumped on the fire,but atleast the family and servants went away.She really needs to ask someone about this weird feeling in her belly,and why is she getting all these goosebumps?Only ma can give me answers to all these questions.
