Three Suprises For One Night

 Since the tour Jacoby and Kelly have had a clean break up. Kelly lives close to Jacoby and he is allowed to come over whenever he pleases. Meanwhile Megan has been living with Jacoby. Well for Caitlyn and Syn (Brian) they have been doing very well.

“Hey babe, how are you?” Megan asked as she got off work from being in the studio with the band Demise. Good, the band and I got a new song done in the studio said Jacoby. Ready to go to the fair downtown with Brian and Caitlyn said Megan Yes, we should change into casual clothes first. Already there, as Megan and Jacoby got dressed there was a bit of excitement in Megan.

*At the fair*

“Caitlyn, you’re really good at this game” said Brian. It’s just hitting targets with a water gun she replied.  Megan and Jacoby, said Caitlyn as she beats her high score. Hey, Caitlyn said Megan then giving her a hug, while Brian and Jacoby do their bromance thing. Should we play that game when you throw the ball at the bottles? Questioned Caitlyn Sounds great, Jacoby said. As we walked over to the game, Jacoby and Brian were talking to each other in low voices. I wonder what their talking about? Asked Megan to Caitlyn, I don’t know but I have a good feeling it’s not anything bad. It was Jacoby and I against Caitlyn and Brian. As I picked up the ball to throw, he put his hands on my hips. He took his hand to mine and we threw together like a couple. Why don’t we go on a roller coaster? , Jacoby suggested. I don’t know sweetie, I don’t do well with roller coasters. I’ll cradle you in my arms you won’t even notice anything, he said. You know me so well, I replied. What about you two you guys gonna come up, I asked Ya, I like roller coasters and if Caitlyn gets scared I’ll be there, Brian said You better be there for anything I go through, Caitlyn said. He agreed with a kiss on the lips.

                After riding roller coasters and playing games Caitlyn and I were filled up with prizes. We individually got in our car and decided we were done for the night.  Jacoby Megan said concerned. Ya, what’s up, he replied calmly. Where are we going? , Megan asked. To a little dress shop in the inner city, we are gathering with Caitlyn and Brian, she doesn’t know so don’t text her about it. Ok, are we going anywhere special after that? She asked waiting to hear the idea. You’ll see it’s a surprise more for Caitlyn though but Brian wanted you and me to be there when it happens. What happens Megan wondered.

                After what seemed a short ride to the shop, Caitlyn and I were utterly confused and was just going along with what the boys wanted. We were the only ones in the store the boys, paid to have the store close just for us.  After trying on many dresses, Megan finally found the perfect one. As she came out of the dressing room, she heard gasps from Caitlyn, Brian and Jacoby. She was wearing a strapless black long dress that exposed her lower back. I knew that was the one, Jacoby gone up to the register to pay for the dress. Caitlyn was trying on dresses now and then it was my turn to sit down.  She tried on red and black dresses; she picked a red short knee high strapless dress.

                Caitlyn and I changed into our new dresses because the boys had yet another plan up their sleeve. As Caitlyn and I came outside we noticed that the cars weren’t there anymore. That’s when I felt two hands come around my waist and stop in the middle of my stomach; I turned around and kissed Jacoby passionately on the lips. Caitlyn interrupted asking where Brian was. Right when she asked a limo came up, Brian came out of the car with a bouquet of hibiscus flowers. We all climbed in as the limo driver started going to our mystery destination. This night has been full of surprises! , Megan said Just wait there is more. Brian said How, How could there possibly…. Caitlyn got cut off as Brian shut her up with a kiss. Looks like we are here, Jacoby said.

                We walked into the restaurant that was called Virgina, there was paintings of ancient times, and really old type of tables, modern but with an edge. We were escorted to our booths, personally I like booths better you seem more secluded and it’s more private for couples. Jacoby put his hand around my waist and I put my hand on his knee. The waiter came and introduces himself, his name was Thomas[MEH1]  . Nice to meet you all, what may I get you to drink? He asked I will have a Dr. Pepper and my girlfriend here will have a Sprite, Jacoby said. And I will have a Pepsi and my girl will have a coke, Brian said. When the waiter leaved Brian shook Thomas’s hand, secretly handing him something very important.

                Thomas came back with our drinks and we ordered appetizers Lumache con Aglio (Butter braised Escargot with garlic parsley over smoked bacon pastry puff) and Mozzarella Caprese (Fresh mozzarella, vine ripe tomatoes, basil, evoo, olive oil & balsamic) after eating our delicious appetizers we ordered our main course. I will have NY Strip al Vino Rosso (Grilled aged 14oz NY Strip, roasted garlic Barolo demi glaze & smashed bliss potatoes), Megan said Jacoby followed Penne Pomodoro Fresco (Fresh Roma & Grape tomatoes, sautéed in garlic & extra virgin olive oil with basil) Then Brian ordered his and Caitlyn’s dinner. I will have the Chicken Marsala (Sautéed chicken cutlet covered with mushrooms and Marsala wine marinara sauce, with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables) and she will have the Filet Mignon Blu’(gorgonzola crusted 8oz center cut beef tenderloin, balsamic demi-glace and broccolini). Thank you guys and I’ll take the menus and be on my way.

Trying on those dresses made me think of when we went to the Coastland Center Mall to try on dresses for the eighth grade graduation. Megan said.  Those were good memories we have together, Caitlyn said. Do remember Mr. Obrien our algebra teacher? Caitlyn asked. Yes, my mom said he always had his hair perfect, not one single hair out of line. You know talking about all these memories makes me feel good. We all will make many memories, I said, I love memories as I thought to myself.

Brian’s POV

The girls left to the restroom I can finally I can talk to Jacoby about this. Bro, I’m so nervous, I don’t know what I should do.  When the waiter comes with the dessert, just come out and say what you fill. Wait you did give him the ring right? Jacoby questioned. Yeah I gave him the ring when I shook Thomas’s hand. He Replied   Then everything will work out perfectly, by the way I’m buying. Jacoby said. No, I can’t have you do that I said. Yes, I think I should something special for tonight, besides how much did that ring cost you? Jacoby said. I sat there in silence. Exactly. He said

Caitlyn’s POV

Brian seems very nervous today, what do you think? I said. I think he is sitting with a very beautiful woman and he would do anything for her. Megan said. That’s true, I wonder what the next surprise is I mean he has done everything. I said. He could purpose you never know? She said. I sat there and dwelled on how much that theory could be true.

Megan’s POV

We returned to the table just in time to have our meals done. Wow everything looks delicious, I said and everyone agreed. I hope you all like your meal. Thomas said and winked at Brian. As we ate our meal, we had side conversations with each other.  After we were done, the waiter came with unexpected dessert. Here you go ma’am. Thomas said as he put the dessert in front of Caitlyn. I’m sorry I didn’t order a dessert in fact no one at this table did. She said. Actually while you were in the restroom I ordered you a dessert. She started to eat and then she had a disgusted look on her face.  What’s wrong Caitlyn I said. There is a ring in my dessert. She said in mystery. Brian got up and went down on one knee, he took Caitlyn’s hand. Caitlyn, ever since I met you we connected and will you marry me? Brian asked in fear of her saying no. Of course I will! She said in excitement.
