Shehnaaz twirled one last time in front of the mirror, admiring the intricate embroidery of her Nikkah dress. The vibrant colors made her feel like she had just stepped out of a Bollywood film set. She hummed a popular song under her breath, her heart filled with excitement and nerves all at once. Today was not just about the dress, it was the day she and Sidharth decided to make their relationship official, though the rukhsati would wait until after her exams. Rihaan and Aamna nikkah is also today. Both couples are ready to start their new Journey.
Her mother, Zoya ji, stood at the door, watching her daughter with a bittersweet smile "Filmi queen" she teased, walking into the room "tujhe pata hai ye real life hai teri books ki duniya nahi" she said sarcastically.
"Mumma see Billo kitni cute lag rahi hai" she said ignoring her mother as she and her cat was wearing matching outfits.

"Ha ha kar me meri baatein ignore baad me aana mat rote rote".
"Are meri pyaari ammi jaan life me thoda drama hona chahiye aur siddy jaan ki to life hai hi boring ab koi to married life ko balance karne ke liye hona chahiye na, aur main to hu hi heroin" she flip her hairs.
Zoya chuckled and adjusted a strand of hair escaping Shehnaaz's delicate dupatta "Heroine ho tum, par apni padhai mat bhoolna. Your father and I want you to complete your degree first. Shaadi ke baad, responsibilities badh jaati hain".
Shehnaaz think about the responsibility, it's true she wanted to marry but being someone daughter in law is a huge different thing, now her world will be different.
"Are you ready?" Zoya asked, bringing Shehnaaz back to reality. She had been lost in her thoughts.
"Ready toh hoon, Ammi, but exams ke baare mein soch soch ke dimaag kharab ho raha hai" Shehnaaz admitted with a sigh "Siddy jaan bhi bhi keh rahe the ke focus karoon, but it's hard!"
Zoya smoothed the fabric of Shehnaaz's dupatta and looked at her reflection in the mirror "You've always managed everything well, beta. Tumhara padhai bhi achi hogi, aur shaadi bhi."
Shehnaaz smiled, though the nervousness lingered. It was not the Nikkah that scared her, it was stepping into a life with someone so opposite from her. While she was carefree, impulsive, and full of dreams, Sidharth was a steady, no-nonsense man who seemed to have everything under control. Would they really be able to make it work?
As if sensing her unease, Zoya placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. "Sidharth is a good man tumhari books ki duniya ke dreams se alag hai, lekin kabhi kabhi woh stability hi chahiye hoti hai life me"
Shehnaaz chuckled "Ammi, aap toh Siddy jaan ke fan ban gaye ho."
Just then, Junaid ji, Shehnaaz's father, walked into the room, his face lighting up as he saw his daughter. "Meri Shehnaaz, you look like a princess"
Shehnaaz ran to her father and hugged him tightly "Abbu, I'm nervous!"
Junaid patted her head affectionately. "Nervous? Hamari beti nervous bhi hoti hai" He chuckle.
"Kya karu ab ho rahi hai".
"Koi baat nahi beta hota hai aesa lekin tension mat lo tumhare abbu jab tak hai tumhe pareshan hone ki zarurat nahi hai" she smile and nodded.
"Chalo Shehnaaz niche chalte hai ab" Zoya ji said and put her hands on her shoulders.
Shehnaaz pout and nodded her cousin take her outside. She giggle looking at the decoration.
"Sun biryani kesi hai?" She asked her cousin.
"Bohot mazedaar hai ek dum chat pati masaledaar aur kabab to aur bhi lazeez hai" her cousin said, Shehnaaz mouth filled with water.
"Batamiz to kya dulhan ko bhookha rakhegi thodi lekar aa na" She whisperd but received a slap from her mother.
"Dulhan ho aur wahi bankar raho zyda batamizi ki to shadi cancel kara dungi" Zoya said angrily and smile because of guest infront of her. Shehnaaz huffed.
"Acha sun thoda sab khana side me bacha kar rakhna main baad me khaungi extra hona chahiye" Shehnaaz whispered to her cousin who rolled her eyes.

"Sidharth nikkah hai aaj tera aur tu ye t-shirt aur shorts me ghum raha hai" Shaista yelled at her son who was not even interest in getting ready.
He huffed and look at his sherwani.
"Ammi kurta pehen lu ye bohot heavy hai" he said holding the sherwani.
"Ladke hokar tere itne nakhre hai ek Shehnaaz hai kuch nahi boli bacchi itna bhari lehenga diya chup chaap pehen liya usne ek tu hai drama Queen"
"Aap usko so kilo ka lehenga bhi leti wo jab bhi pehen leti usko sirf shadi se matlab hai" he said and wear his sherwani while making faces. "Chubh rahi hai" he complaint like a child but his mother ignored him as he always ignore wearing traditional cloths.
"Haaye mera raja beta acha main Aamna ko dekh kar aai" she said and left from there.

The Nikkah ceremony begin in two different partition one for ladies and one for gents.
Suddenly her voice stuck in her throat although she always wanted to married soon but now when she is getting married it's getting different for her one yes and her life will be changed totally.
She nodded and said "Qubool hai" her voice shriver but she said somehow.
"Qubool hai, Qubool hai"
Her mother kissed her forehead.
"Sign this" Maulvi sahab give her the documents to sign. Rihaan give her the pen. With shriving hands she hold the pen. Her whole body was shriving because she was controlling her tears, her father hold her hand and nodded, Rihaan also put his hand on her. She nodded and took a deep breath than sign the papers.
Everyone make the dua and congratulate each-other.
Everyone congratulate him, suddenly he feel something straight inside, he was not a bachelor anymore now someone was also there for him, only for him. He smile unknowingly.
"Mubarak ho bhai" Rihaan hug him.
"Tujhe bhi" he chuckle and said "meri behen ka dhyaan rakhna"
"Tu bhi" Rihaan said in brotherly tone, they both laughed.
