Olivia:
-"Are you telling me you can't do ANYTHING!?" I followed Dad around the kitchen.
-"Look, Liv darling, Nic is an adult okay, he's nearly 20 years old, he's not a child anymore so we can't do anything. He can leave without telling anyone anything." Dad tried explaining.
-"Dad, he was receiving MESSAGES!" I yelled, "Stella is a WRECK! Losing her brother right after she found him again!? Come on!"-"Sweetie, I know it's hard for her," Mom stepped in, "But please stay out of this."
-"Mom, you don't get it!" Kayan stood up. "Even if we stay out of it, Stella or Louis will get involved! And if one gets involved, then we all do."
-"Brother dearest, I love you." I nodded.
-"I love you too." He nodded back.
Dad and Mom exchanged glances and then looked at me and Kayan. Well, they were clearly confused.
TIME SKIP:
Three months later:Aaron:
-"There's no way he just stopped." I tried to defend myself. "In the name of Anakin Skywalker, do you really believe that!?"
-"Why shouldn't I?! I mean the dude hasn't gone after any of us Aaron, it's common sense!" Jules yelled at me.
Since Nic dissapeared, Stella was a wreck. Rui wasn't Rui anymore. He wasn't my best friend anymore. Layla became even more insecure as the days passed. And Olivia—my Olivia, my gorgeous Livie, she was losing her spark day by day.
-"Guys, he didn't stop," Olivia spoke up, "Maybe he's just thinking on who to get next."
-"Jesus Christ." Kayan sighed, "Don't say that."
-"Yeah, not even hoping can save us Kay." Rui took his glasses off and threw his head back.
-"Hey hey hey, y'all are losing optimism right now." I said.
-"There's no optimism here dude." Layla looked at me.
-"My mom always says there is optimism."
Louis was quiet this whole time, probably running through five different scenarios of what happened to Nic. He wasn't able to even reach out to him.
-"I don't know guys." Olivia shook her head. "They haven't got Max yet. And how come this person know stuff about us? It's someone we are close with. No other explanation."
-"If I find out it's that bitch Sofia,I will rip out her greasy hair, one by one." Jules flipped her ponytail to the side.
-"Babe, I love you." Kayan admired her, like she was some kind of goddess.
-"I don't know man, I just want my brother." Stella hugged herself, her loose ginger waves falling over her eyes.
-"I know babe, I know you want your brother." Jules said in an attempt to comfort her.
Olivia was quiet, probably a thousand things going over her mind right now. I moved closer to her and wrapped my arm around her shoulder.
-"Hey." I nudged her slightly.
-"Hm.." she murmured.
-"You okay?"
-"No Aaron I'm not okay. Layla nearly died, Rui is not Rui, Nic is gone...How am I supposed to be fine? And Max is still out there doing whoever knows what."
-"I mean..." I shrugged. "I..."
I sighed. I didn't have any comforting words left. I could just stare at her, watch the spark leave her eyes—Her gorgeous hazel eyes.
-"Olivia. Please don't torture me like that. I hate seeing you sad." I moved my hand to her cheek.
-"I'm sorry Aaron. I can't help it." She turned her head to look at me, her expression sad and tired.
-"Did you sleep last night?"
-"Not much. I can't sleep. I keep hallucinating."
-"And sleep talking." Kayan chimed in.
-"Shut up Kayan, can't you see they are having a couple conversation you dumb ass?" Layla smacked his arm.
-"Oh my bad. Sorry."
-"I don't have a good feeling about this guys." Olivia spoke again, "I mean right now. I feel like something is going to happen right now and it's overwhelming."
There was silence for a few seconds, probably everyone trying to figure out what the hell was supposed to happen. Stella looked around, probably searching for Nic. She was miserable since he left, not eating, sleeping, coming to school.
Nothing had happened to me yet, but I would prefer it happened to me than any of these people sitting here next to me. Kayan was my best friend, and if anything happened to him, I'd be arrested right this second. Jules was my cousin, and even though she acted bitchy 24/7 I would rather I got shot or decapitated than anyone touching a single strand of her hair.
And if something happened to Olivia, man, I'm going to prison for life. I looked at her, silent, thinking, her eyes focused on her shoes. She was so beautiful. How can she just sit there and be beautiful? She's just staring into space for god's sake.
Rui broke the awkward silence with a cough.
-"I mean..I know he's capable of many things, but what else can he do worse than what he's already done?"
I saw Stella about to answer, when Olivia's phone rang.
-"Relax guys, its just my mom." She chuckled seeing our frightened expression.
-"Tell her she almost made me fly myself to another planet." Kayan rolled his eyes. "Jesus Christ mother."
Olivia rolled her eyes as she picked up. But as Aunt Pip was talking to her, I saw her expression becoming frightened, worried. The others noticed too, and we all exchanged confused glances. Olivia lowered the phone with trembling hands, and her eyes were immediately focused on her brother.
-"Kayan.. They shot Dad."
