PRESENT DAY

Naruto frowned as he remembered the day he realized Boruto could get the sharingan, he counted it as one of many of the worse days of his life. After they had gotten the kids to bed that day, including Sarada because being at Uncle Naru's house always makes her feel better, Naruto had an anxiety attack. You could say it was out of nowhere but really, it had been brewing up from the moment the blond found out he was pregnant.

Being pregnant due to being the nine-tails jinchūriki and pregnant with twins. A nearly nine month long pregnancy fearing if one or both kids took after the man that cheated on him and broke his heart and it turns out his daughter does completely ( luckily Sakura was there to take her in). Then said man comes back only to accuse you of cheating making his postpartum depression worse and, unintentionally, causing you to harm your newborn daughter, and now your son, the child that looks completely like you, could have the one trait from his father that is only caused by absolute misery.

Safe to say, the anxiety was warranted. But the didn't matter to the blond, his son is what mattered. So he made a vow, he would do everything in his power to make sure Boruto never gets his sharingan. As much as he wanted to do the same for Sarada, the circumstances were different for her. Sarada is the spitting image of her father, so her getting the sharingan could be seen as a right of passage.

But as mentioned before, Boruto is the spitting image of Naruto. For the little blond boy to have the sharingan would mean everyone finding out that he had been pregnant by the last Uchiha and risking his children's safety. That's not a risk he's willing to take.

"We're home!" Naruto called out as he and his six year old son and "niece" walked inside of the Uzumaki home and his four year old daughter ran up to hug her brother and his "friend".

"Nii-chan! Sara-chan!" Himawari cheered and giggled along the six year olds who hugged her back, Hinata smiling as she entered.

"Welcome home." She said and she turned to Boruto and Sarada. "Did you guys have fun on your first day of the academy?" The six year olds nodded vigorously and she grinned happily. "I'm glad. Oh Sarada-chan, your mother called. She has to work late again, so she wanted to know if you want to stay the night with us?"

Sarada gasped happily. "Yes! Yes! Please, Auntie Hinata?" She begged to the purple haired woman before turning to her "Uncle" "Please Uncle Naruto?"

"Please Daddy??" Boruto and Himawari begged along with her and Naruto laughed with Hinata giggling in the background.

"Of course she can." He said and all the kids cheered. "Alright, you kids go upstairs and play." They all nodded and ran upstairs, much to the blond horror. "Kids, don't run!"

"Sorry Daddy/Uncle Naruto!" They said and the blond sighed softly.

"They sure are active, aren't they?" Hinata shook her head in amusement.

"In all fairness, Naruto-kun, they're your kids." She commented and laughed at the unamused expression on her husband's face.

"Not funny." Hinata hugged her husband's arm.

"I was just teasing." Naruto nodded and the purple haired woman studied his face. "There's something on your mind." The blond gave another sigh.

"Yeah, there is. Come with me." His wife nodded and followed her husband into his study. "Kakashi wants me and Sasuke to talk." Hinata's eyes widened. "I'm chosen to be the next hokage and Sasuke is now deemed as the shadow hokage, we need to have a good professional relationship. So I sent him a message."

The purple haired nodded. "Do you think he'll respond?" She asked and Naruto shrugged. "Will you be alright seeing him?" The blond narrowed his eyes at his wife's question.
