You can do this, Iris. You've been training since you were a kid! well...minus the 5-year-gap...but who cares!!?!? now you are back!!!!!3 hours before the ball, the now blonde girl kept talking to herself as she continuously tries to stay positive with all these ordeal. Staring at her reflection as she pushed every single negative thoughts away.
"Oh who are you kidding, you were fucking blind for 5 years, Iris?! And I've only been training for like freaking 3 months or something!! Ughhhhh!!!
She contemplated as she let herself fall into her dressing table. both arms almost hugging each side of the furniture with her cheek pressed against it.
Her mind was a strong as a diamond, she was courageous and determined that she can do it no matter what, that she'll endure it, no matter what. However, a little part of her still knows that when reality starts to hit her, she'll become unsure of what to do anymore. Can she even fight them off? Can she even shoot a gun at a person? Well...she definitely can, but will she? Will she ever have the strength to kill somebody?
Her nervous state now replaced with a somber one...killing somebody tonight never really occurred to her...never even crossed her mind for a sec when she agreed in doing this.
"Can I actually kill someone??...Do I need to?..." she quietly mumbled to herself as she brought both her hands on top of her head, feeling scared and overwhelmed all of a sudden.
"No you don't, Riri..."
Iris sat up straight immediately upon hearing the voice. Seeing the boy's reflection in the mirror in front of her - standing at her bedroom door, watching her carefully with worried eyes.
"You can always back down from this you know? No one's telling you to go...you know you really don't have to, right?" He spoke calmly as he welcomed himself to her room. Sitting at the side of her bed facing her.
"But I want to...you know I really do. And you know how much this means to me to become part of what mom and dad started...and I'm sure about my decisions, it's just that I still have doubts..."
The man scoffed playfully at her, earning a glare in return. He leaned in slightly looking at her intently as Iris leaned backwards, looking at him curiously.
"what??" she asked. Before she felt a slight pain in her nose as he gripped it tightly, wiggling it playfully.
"Oppaaaaaa!!!" She screamed as she removed his hands away, swatting it in irritation, only earning her a laugh from her brother.
"I just can't believe our baby girl is no longer a baby." The girl only rolled her eyes at him before facing the mirror again, fixing the makeup which according to her, got ruined by Jaehyun. "You're the only one who still treated me like one for like a few weeks back." she stated with an obvious duh tone.
Now it's his time to roll his eyes at her — ah yes, siblings...
"But you are..." Jaehyun now shifting into a much sincere and serious tone, making her shift her position again so she'd be facing him. "You're my only little sister, Iris. My only little girl, and will always be. I know I could've acted better and tried to see things from you point of view, and I know I could've talked to you more about it instead of completely deciding for yourself, and for that I am really sorry...but I just got really scared. I already lost you once, Iris. And I can't bare to loose you again...and I'll do whatever it takes to keep it that way. To keep you safe..."
