If only Deku had been a second faster.

Kira had done what she intended, bought Midoriya enough time to come and stop Shigaraki from doing any damage outside of the UA battlefield. Her and everyone else. Mirko, Jeanest, Mirio, Tamaki, Nejire and... Bakugou.

Everyone, except Kira of course; Were intrusted to give Midoriya any necessary support. Only for the responsibility of fighting Shigaraki to land solely on their shoulders. A weight meant to be carried by One for All.

They did a good job... For regular people.

Though if it weren't for Midoriya, Kira would be dead right now. The scorpion-like limb struck at her, intending to stab her just as Shigaraki did to Bakuguu in Jaku. Except this time it would be fatal.

The second it moved Midoriya shot into the arena. The forcefield closing behind him. Trapping them all there again. Kira cried out as a stabbing pain shot through her side. Shigaraki dropped her to the ground when Midoriya turned his attention. She fell to her knees and then into the ground. Only to be blown backwards by the waves of power coming for two of the strongest individuals on earth.

Kira held her side, it was bleeding a lot. Thanks to Deku's appearance Shigaraki missed. Kira couldn't tell if he had hit anything major or not though. Shigaraki turned his full attention to Midoriya. Finally... All for one and one for all would begin their battle. Kira and All the others meant nothing. They'll remembered as the group that Shigaraki almost destroyed. As the group that was saved just in time by Deku.

Kira didn't mind much though. She didn't care about what the history books would say about this battle. She just wanted it to be over with.

Kira stood up carefully. Midoriya had seen Bakugou. Going absolutely ape shit. Mirio was caught up to him, trying to calm him down. Unlike Kira, Midoriya was clouded by his emotions. It made him sloppy, reckless and predictable. He couldn't let this get to him.

Kira stumbled across the battlefield. The wind of the fight blowing her hair around. She held her side, this felt familiar. Like when she was trying to escape after being kidnapped. A last desperate attempt...

To see her sunset again.

"Kokoa!" Jeanest cried out when she got close. Edgeshot was there too. But only tendrils of his body were left outside of Bakugou's. He was doing all he could to stitch Bakugou up with his own body.

"He's still..." Kira whispered. Dropping to her knees. "Keep going... Please."

"Kira you're hurt." Jeanest said, kneeling by her. "You faught valiantly. Let me dress your wounds." Jeanest pleaded, she really hoped she wouldn't do the same as Bakugou, and insist on fighting again.

"C-careful..." Kira whispered. Sitting on her knees. "My hands... I can't control Shigaraki's quirk." She said, her voice hoarse and faint.

"That's no matter." Jeanest said. Soon kira felt her hands get covered in fabric. Her palm and two middle fingers on each hand. Covering up two so she couldn't make five finger contact. "Now let me see your side..."

"She's bleeding from her mouth and her ears... Not to mention her side. That's no good." Jeanest thought. Kira hadn't even realized her ears were bleeding. Blood pouring and sinking into the fabric of her shirt.

Kira stared down at Bakugou. Who she sat over. He was bleeding, significantly. His arm was broken, his body was limp. His eyes were still open... his beautiful red eyes staring blankly towards the sky. His chest was open, his heart a gash.

His heart.

Kira could remember it's beat. It's passion. How it thumped strongly when he was fighting. How quiet and steady it was when he was with her. She hadn't realized how comforting it was until she couldn't hear it anymore...

"Kokoa..." Jeanest repeated.

"C-can I..." She whispered. Staring at him before she started to sink down. Laying on the ground beside him. She was carful not to disturb Edgeshot's work. Laying her head on Bakugou's limp arm, resting her back against his side... Like they always used to do.

His comforting embrace. Whenever she was worried or sad or scared. How he'd wrap his arms around her and hold her tightly.

Kira cried softly, curling up in the crook of his limp arm. He wasn't holding her back this time. He didn't even know if she was there. She didn't even know... If he was still there.

All she felt was a hum. It was getting weaker and weaker. He wasn't alive. She cried closing her eyes. She couldn't feel him... His soul... He was... Empty.

When she closed her eyes it was like he wasn't even there. Like she was holding a doll and pretending it was him. There was no noise... No warmth... The only thing left that was his was...

Kira started to slip away, as Jeanest bent over her. Her injured side was left exposed and he quickly went to work on it. As Kira started to fade away... The details slipped from her mind... She couldn't hear the battle. Couldn't feel it as her and Bakugou's blood ran together... But...

The smell of burnt caramel and sugar drifted into her nose. She smelled him, even when her eyes were closed. Even without his thoughts in her head... She knew that he was here. His smell was stronger than ever, And because of that...

She was able to fall asleep.

She had only felt this once before. All the way back when she was trapped in Jaku. When she sent a message to Izuku Midoriya. She gathered that if she feel asleep... While the person she was connected with was asleep.

She'd enter their dream.

She she saw the light around her, her heart soared. Maybe... Maybe when the light cleared, she'd enter whatever dream Bakugou was trapped in. Whatever purgatory or heaven or universe his soul was dying in. She wanted to see him. To hug him like she had done with Midoriya all that time ago.

Her hopes were raised once again. But there was no point to them. Her heart plummeted as the light cleared and Kira almost fell. Hitting the ground in whatever dream realm this was hard. She couldn't tell if she felt pain because of that... Or because of her wounds in real life.

She wished she could actually rest. Without having to be conscious, without experiencing pain. She didn't know if it was real or just phantom... All's he knew was that it hurt.

The ground bumped up and bubbled. Forming something sickingly familiar. Hands. Arms. Sliding together, soon they were absolutely everywhere. Above her, below her. Making up the ground and everything else.

She had forgotten... That Katsuki's blood wasn't the only blood Kira had consumed. In order to use Shigaraki's quirk... She had to take his too... Meaning if this wasn't Bakugous mind...

It was Shigaraki's
