"Let's pack our things and head to the airport."

Chan spoke loudly, making sure everyone in the room could hear his words. Even his mother-in-law's eyes widened in shock at the unexpected announcement.

Wait—wait, what? It took a few seconds for Mr. Bahng to process what Chan had just said.

"Christopher, wait—! You can't be serious!?" he stammered, completely taken aback.

"You heard me," Chan replied firmly, giving one last stern glare to both his parents before leading Jeongin toward their room.

But... where were they going? Jeongin had no idea. Out of the city? Or maybe even abroad?

Chan quickly called out to a few workers to assist with the immediate packing. He was serious—really serious. They were going to leave right now, in the middle of the night, and fly out of the city?

Jeongin was too occupied with trying to calm down, his tears refusing to stop as he kept replaying his mother-in-law's harsh words in his mind. Chan was busy ordering the maids around, while Hanni did her best to comfort Jeongin, staying by his side as much as possible.

Suddenly, all the activity came to a halt as they heard a knock at their bedroom door. Chan didn't want to open it; it could be his mother, whom he had no desire to see at the moment.

"Check who it is," he instructed a maid, who cautiously opened the door, only to be pushed aside by two people rushing in.

"Channie Oppa!"

"Channie Hyung!"

Hannah and Lucas called out simultaneously, their faces filled with panic.

"You can't be serious, right??? What do you mean, going to the airport?? You can't just leave us like this forever!" Hannah exclaimed, clearly distressed.

"Where will you even go?" Lucas inquired, looking equally anxious.

"Calm down, both of you," Chan said, his tone softening. "I'm not going away forever. Please, don't worry, okay? We're just going on a vacation," he assured them, his voice gentler now.

"But how are you planning to leave so suddenly?" Lucas asked, visibly concerned.

Chan patted both of their heads with each hand. "Honeymoon tickets," he almost whispered. "We're just going on the honeymoon I'd planned for us, alright?"

"But... but... you're leaving us here with Mom! Who knows how much she'll rage! You're really ditching us here!" Hannah protested, clearly upset.

Chan sighed. "I know... and I'm really sorry, both of you. You have Dad here for now, don't you? Right now, I need to be by Jeongin's side, alright? You understand, right?" he murmured softly, hoping Jeongin wouldn't overhear.
