Chapter 22 A Wild Reunion

It was another day at Night Raven College, and this class period was PE. Coach Vargas had everyone run a few laps before he blew his whistle for everyone to stop. "Alright, girl and boys! Let's  take a 5-minute break, and we resume with pushups!"

All the students got their water bottles out, or they would just hang around the woods by the school. "Man, Coach Vargas can be brutal with these exercises!" Ace pants. "Yeah, you're telling me!" Grim agreed. "You don't get a say in this, Grim. Since you've been on (Y/n)'s shoulders this whole time." Deuce pointed out. "My shoulders were starting to feel sore." (Y/n) rubbed her shoulders. She takes out her water bottle, but she finds it empty. "What?! Grim! You drank my water!!!" (Y/n) exclaimed. Grim looked innocently at her as he chugged down the last of his water. "What? I got really thirsty." He smiled. (Y/n) sighed as she turned to Coach Vargas and asked if she could refill her water bottles. Coach Vargas allowed her to go, but he instructed her to hurry back. Once she was gone, Grim remembered that there were some berries in the woods. He quickly ran off before Ace and Deuce could catch him. Grim noticed a few other students hanging out in the woods, so he knew that he wouldn't be lost. It didn't take him long to him a bush full of edible berries. "Haha! I knew that there were delicious berries! They don't call me berry searcher Grim for nothing!" Grim bragged to himself. As he continued to collect some berries, he heard some noises from the other side of the bushes. He takes a peek to see the two delinquents from last time. Only this time, they were throwing rocks at something. Grim's eyes turned white in fear when he realized what they were throwing rocks at. It was a bear, and one rock hit the bear's head. It roars angrily at the two delinquents.

As Ace and Deuce were waiting for Grim and (Y/n), they noticed that Professor Crewel was walking towards them. "Professor Crewel, what's up?" Ace asked. "I was walking around the campus, and I could have sworn I saw a wolf around here." Professor Crewel explained. Coach Vargas heard everything. "Are you sure you seen a wolf?" He asked. "I know what a wolf looks like and-" Professor Crewel was cut off by screams of terror. It was the two delinquents, and they were running for their lives. Coach Vargas and Professor Crewel tried to get answers from them, but they were too freaked out to speak. Suddenly, they heard Grim screaming as Ace and Deuce ran towards him. Grim spotted them and quickly hid behind them. "Grim!? What's wrong!?" Deuce exclaimed. "We got to get out of here!" Grim cried. "What?" Ace and Deuce were confused. "The bear! Right behind you!" Grim pointed behind them. Ace and Deuce gasped as they saw the bear on her hind legs and roaring at them. They were in shock to move and see they were really close to a bear. Before the bear could attack, a rock was thrown at her. She growls and turns her gaze at Coach Vargas. "Hey, bear! Come on, over here! Come on, bear! Come this way!" Coach Vargas drew the bear's attention away from his students, giving them a chance to get away.  Professor Crewel quickly helped to get the bear's attention away as the students stood back. As the bear roared at the teachers, their eyes widened when the wolf that Professor Crewel had appeared and stood next to the bear. They growled and snared at the teachers. Professor Crewel and Coach Vargas were sweating nervously as they tried to hand the beasts while the students stood behind nervously.

"What's going on out here!?" A familiar female voice asked. Everyone turned to see (Y/n) with a confused look on her face. With the teachers distracted, the wolf and bear quickly made a charge at (Y/n). "(Y/N), WATCH OUT!!!!" Ace Deuce and Grim screamed out. But it was too late, the wolf and bear tackled her down. "(Y/N)!!!!" Before they could save her, they stopped when they heard her laughing instead of screaming in pain. Taking a closer look, the wolf and bear weren't mauling her; they were licking and nuzzling her face. (Y/n) was laughing at the affection she was receiving. She sat up and hugged the two predators. "Nova! Cyra! I missed you both so much!"

"HUUUUUHHH????!!!" Everyone shouted in shock

"Yes, these two belong to me!" (Y/n) smiled until she realized something. "Wait, if you two are here then...uh oh..." Suddenly, they heard a loud scream that echoed through the sky. (Y/n) already knew that Icy and Misty were close. (Y/n) quickly hopped on Cyra's back, and then she and her two animals quickly ran toward the source of the screaming as the others followed.
