Terrence POV
Ever since Optigami, Jeanette and Casper became permanent holders of the Fox and Turtle Miraculous, always stepping in whenever we needed back up. Of course, we have other allies like Ryuko, Vesperia, Oozaru and Pegasus.
However, it's only a matter of time before Nino and Alya find out they're being replaced.
As Casper and I met up with Jeanette and Caroline, we heard that there has been an uproar in relating to Mayor Bourgeois' idea, known as Project Oxygen. Apparently, he started building a tower that can reduce pollution and produce filtered oxygen for Parisians. The construction of the building would replace the park of Place des Vosges, which prompts Ivan and Mylène to arrive at the Place des Vosges to protest against it. The mayor gets disturbed by Ivan and Mylène and order Roger to keep them away as they are protesting against him. Mylène and Ivan refuse to back down, and end up being escorted home by Officer Roger.
"Should we go and check it out?" Casper asked.
I shook my head. "Not now. We gotta go to class. We'll let Ms Bustier know."
Timeskip (Ms Bustier's Classroom)
"Marinette Dupain Cheng?" Miss Bustier doing role calls.
"Present!" Marinette runs fast on her way to the classroom then falls over and raises her hand.
"Terrence Dupain-Cheng?"
"Present." I raised my hand.
"Mylène Haprèle?" The entire class startled up when they didn't see Mylène. "Mylène?"
"She's not here. Officer Roger took her and Ivan home because, they were holding a sit-in and blocking a bulldozer." I explained, much to the class' shock.
"Well, they must have been protesting the city's plan to rehabilitate Place des Vosges." Alya looks on her phone.
"What does rehabilitate mean?" Kim whispers to Max.
"Eyes and a mouth, but no brain." Celeste muttered to herself, earning a chuckle from Caroline.
"It says here, Project Oxygen will be a breath of fresh air for Paris." Alya reads the news article.
"A breath of fresh air?" Marinette questions. "It's weird that Mylène and Ivan would be against it."
"If only you knew." Caroline rolled her eyes.
Miss Bustier slams onto the desk. "Regardless Officer Roger has made a huge mistake." she calls Roger.
As she does that, everyone started discussing on Project Oxygen.
"Apparently, they're planning on cutting down the trees to build buildings that produce faux oxygen, reducing pollution." I whispered to the others.
"That's bull. The trees provide oxygen. He can't just cut them down." Jeanette replied.
"Looks like Mayor Bourgeois isn't the sharpest tool on the shed. Wonder if that's where Chloe got it from." Martin snickered, much to Chloe's chagrin.
"Well, I'm ordering you to bring them back to Place des Vosges. I'm coming to get them." Miss Bustier ends the call. " Follow me, children. Today's class will be dedicated to civics education with real-life practical experience."
"Um, I think I'm just gonna stay here if that's okay with you Miss Bustier. I don't want too much excitement and accidentally go into cardiac arrest." Lila told her sweetly.
"Nino and I will stay with her." Alya volenterred.
"What, no uploading to your blog?" I scoffed.
Alya scowled at me. Ever since Coccinelle's debut, she's been slandering the new heroine and saying that Ladybug is the true hero of Paris. To make matters worse, she's also been posting the lies that Lila told her, causing her follower count to drop rapidly.
