Chapter 19: Race against Time (Ephemeral)

Terrence POV

AsI was about to meet up with Su-Han,I was interrupted by the akumatized form of Bob Roth, Moolak, using his power to store his money into his safe, who turned out to be people.

During our fight, Ryuko uses her lightning power on the safe, but is unable to break it. 

"Couldn't we just use the Cataclysm to break it open?" Duchess Cobra suggested.

"Unless you want to be arrested for murder, that's not an option." Testudo replied.

"Not to mention, Cat Noir and Lycan Gris are unavailable at the moment." Coccinelle added.

 Polymouse used Multitude to distract the akuma, allowing me to ensnare him with my whip. Vesperia, who was protected by Testudo's Shell-ter, used her Venom to paralyse Moolak. Pegasus used Voyage to allow Duchess Cobra to reach the safe, trying out every combination, and using Second Chance, until she finally gets it right.

"Firehawk! Catch!" The snake heroine tossed me the akumatized coin, allowing me to break it in half.

After reverting the damage, I rounded up all the miraculous until I reached Duchess Cobra.

"Thanks, Chloe-."

Suddenly, Su -Han appeared and grabbed her arm.

"This really takes the cake!" Su-Han says.

"Oh no." I groaned.

 "Nine! You used nine Miraculouses to defeat a single villain, when Cat Noir could have just used his Cataclysm!" The Guardian scolded.

"Lycan Gris and Cat Noir were unavailable at the moment. They had some personal things to attend to." I replied.

"You can't just let the holders of two of the most powerful Miraculous go about as they please! What if they start making their own decisions, or act it out? Like Shadow Moth!" Su-Han counters.

"Don't compare my teammates to that bastard, Shadowmoth!" I growled as my anger flared up. "Are you blowing this out of proportion just a little?"

"Not at all. In fact, you should find out who Lycan Gris and Cat Noir really ar, so you can have better control over them!"

"Are you mental!? I can't just manipulate them like their puppets! Not to mention, our identities must be kept a secret!" I rebutted.

"I. Don't. Care!!" Su-Han snaps back. "Deal with this problem quickly, otherwise I will take back their miraculous as soon as they show their whiskers and paws! And I will chose the new holders myself!"

I scoffed. "And if you knew who they are, would that work?"

Su-Han was taken aback by this.  " I... I suppose so. But I'm warning you, if you don't succeed..."

"I get it. You take away my miraculous and the Miracle Box. Spare me the half empty threats, old man." I crossed my arms.

Su-Han grunted and left.

" Are you really going to do as he asks?" Chloe asked me.

"I don't have much of a choice. I'll talk with them and see if I can figure something out." I launched my whip. "I'll let you know what happens next."

After that, I swung away.

Celeste POV

"God, that interview was boring." I sighed as I fixed my hair.

"We should meet up with Firehawk. I heard that he's gone to fight an akuma." Adrien says.

After swapping into our alter egos, we looked to see 14 missed calls from Firehawk and Coccinelle. Afterwards, we called them.
