"Second Brother and Fourth Brother aren't coming?" Lisa asked.
Mingyu shook his head. "Second Brother Haruto has back-to-back surgeries today. And I heard that Fourth Brother Jackson is conducting special training to the police force. The Chief of Police apparently invited him because he's interested in Systema and wants the new recruits to learn it."
Lisa nodded while stroking the now sleeping Lily.
"We're not sure if Fifth Brother will be able to come. Fifth Sister-in-law Jisoo says that he's busy." Mingyu sighed. "It would've been nice if all of us brothers are here today."
"En."
Mingyu glanced at Jennie chatting with the ladies (plus Jae). "Third Sister-in-Law Ruby doesn't mind that Yeon and Little Jun returned directly here with me from the hospital?"
The corner of Lisa's lips curved up. "She was sad and disappointed at first but she's fine now. Don't worry about my wife and just focus on cultivating feelings with your own wife."
"And our son," Mingyu added.
"And your son." Lisa agreed.
Finally, the chef called everyone for lunch.
After the meal, the adults put the kids, cats, and dogs in Little Jun's room for a nap. Jae volunteered to watch over them with Hoyeon.
Lisa followed Mingyu outside to tour the farm.
The three remaining ladies—Jennie, Jisoo, and Chaeng—went to the sunroom for some digestive tea.
Their topic?
Orchidia Beauty's new product idea, insect repellent spray and lotion.
Both Jennie and Jisoo wanted to expand the idea into a product line for Orchidia Baby, not just Orchidia Beauty.
What happened to Little Jun with him getting dengue fever frightened the two new mothers.
They wanted to develop baby-safe options for effective insect repellents.
"Maybe we can also develop insect-repelling clothing," Jennie suggested.
Both Jisoo and Chaeng's eyes lit up.
"Good idea," Chaeng said.
Jisoo nodded.
"I'll contact Amanpio Kileksky and ask him about it," Jennie said.
The three made plans for their next steps.
Then someone walked in and interrupted their discussion.
"Hey, babe," V greeted Chaeng and walked toward her. Then he nodded at Jennie and Jisoo before looking around. "Where's my brother and the others?"
"They're outside touring the farm," Jennie replied, acting natural.
Jisoo, on the other hand, looked a little awkward watching the new dynamics between her best friend and V.
"Why have you come?" Chaeng asked in a huff, sounding annoyed, although a closer inspection would reveal her red ears.
"Of course, I'll come. I promised to pick you up, didn't I?" V said.
"Who needs you?" Chaeng muttered. "I can drive. Besides, I need to drive Jisoo and the babies and the dogs home if Jiyong still doesn't come later."
V: "No problem, we'll drive them home first then."
Jisoo interjected, "It's fine. You don't need to drive us home. Robin and Shun will come pick us up if my husband can't come."
"See? Now you have no excuse." V waggled his eyebrows at Chaeng.
"Hmmm, looks like your relationship is going well," Jennie observed.
"Are you blind?" Chaeng glared at her.
"Yes, it's going well," V replied "Thank you."
Chaeng then glared at him next. "You!"
"Have you all eaten?" V asked all of a sudden while rubbing his stomach. "I came directly from a shoot and haven't eaten yet, so I'm starving."
"Stupid. Why didn't you ask your assistant to get you something to pad your stomach first?" Although Chaeng said this, she still stood up and grabbed V's hand to lead him to the kitchen intending to ask the chef for some leftovers.
"Excuse us, Sister Ruby, Sister Jisoo," V told the other two ladies.
Jennie and Jisoo waved them away.
After they left, Jisoo released a heavy sigh. "I still find it hard to believe that they really got together. Like, for real REAL."
Jennie raised an eyebrow. "You're seriously saying that? Look in the mirror first with my brother and I'll believe the same way."
Jisoo pouted at her. "You know what I mean, Ruby."
Jennie chuckled.
Jisoo sighed again. "I just worry about Chaeng. What if V's fans go crazy and attack her?"
"Then it means that he's not managing his fans well." Jennie picked up her teacup and took a sip. "And even if he manages his fans well which I think he does, there will still be some insane ones who'll cross the line. Even I have some of those crazy fans appear now and then. The Black Stars and I just disown them when they go too overboard. I also have tight security, so I don't really experience the dangerous, crazy fans firsthand. I mostly just hear about them from my staff or the news."
"Being a celebrity sure is tough." Jisoo released another sigh.
"It is. But it's also very rewarding. I feel fulfilled whenever I create music, perform onstage, and interact with my fans. It's my calling. I'm sure that Hyung feels the same way."
Jisoo: "I hope that Chaeng can handle being in a relationship with a celebrity. And not just any celebrity, but a superstar like V."
"She can handle it," Jennie said with firm conviction. She believed in Chaeng's toughness. "She can handle him."
"I hope so."
After about an hour, the kids and the cats and dogs all woke up from their nap.
The adults finally focused on showering Little Jun with gifts to congratulate him for getting well soon.
The little guy was over the moon with happiness. He wasn't stingy either and shared all the toys he received with his little cousins. Even the Kwon twins who couldn't even crawl yet were given their fair share by their eldest cousin.
His actions endeared him to the adults even more.
Mingyu was so proud that he lifted his bonus son and gently tossed him in the air, causing Little Jun to squeal from delight.
Levi felt envious and crawled quickly to his father, wanting his daddy to toss him like that, too.
Lisa didn't disappoint. He lifted his son and also pretended to toss him in the air. It wasn't actually a toss but just lifting him up and down.
Levi didn't know the difference. He thought that his daddy was also tossing him high up in the air like his eldest cousin. He was laughing so hard that it infected everyone, making the adults laugh as well.
Lisa didn't forget his other son. He put down Levi and lifted Liam as well. Although Little Liam didn't ask for it, Lisa could sense his other son's desire.
Lisa knew Little Liam's personality because the child inherited it from him.
Little Liam was more reserved. He also laughed but not as loudly as Levi.
On the other side, the Kwon twins were also watching their elder cousins being tossed. Little Dima watched with slight interest while Little Misha was punching the air with his little arms and kicking with his little legs.
