TK GROANS AS HE TILTS HIS HEAD BACK, walking alongside buck and Mateo as they head back to the main area that the command set up. "Oh, come on, it's California. Of course you're gonna have earthquakes. But you can't tell me that that's cooler than the 126 going up against a solar storm." He states as he looks toward Buck who just holds out his hands.
"What even is that? You can't see it." Buck retorts and Tk goes to say something else but Mateo cuts in.
"Guys. Don't you see what you're doing?" Mateo asks them, raising his eyebrows. "You're falling into the classic iron man versus captain America trap. Is captain America better because he's a super soldier with an indestructible shield, or is Tony Stark better because he's a tech genius with a sick weaponized suit?" He explains and both were silent for a moment.
"So? Who's better?" Tk asks and Mateo just shakes his head, seeing how he was clearly missing what he was trying to say.
"Neither is better, bro. That's the point. It's a specious argument. They're both badass and when they team up, nobody could beat them." He tells the pair before stopping himself. "Except maybe Thanos." Mateo adds before they see the rest of the group in front of them.
"Oh, glad to see the strike teams already got their feet up." Tk says with a laugh, crossing his arms against his chest.
"Ooh, you guys must be exhausted. All that go Karting up and down the hill?" Buck adds with a smirk before it slowly drops, seeing the demeanor of everybody. His eyes went to Victoria and she was just leaned against eddie, staring down at her hands.
"You didn't hear, did you?" Marjan asks them, sadness in her voice and Tk furrows his eyebrows.
"Hear what?" Tk questions, confused as the others were too. Judd glances at everyone else before taking a deep breath.
"Owen and Henrietta took a chopper up the mountain to help search for the missing boy." Judd starts, trailing off for a moment as his jaw clenches. "They had a malfunction and went down." He states and shock fills their features, more Tk than anyone else.
"What do you mean they went down?" Buck asks, trying to really come to terms with it and Eddie looks toward him.
"They crashed, Buck." Eddie answers and Buck was speechless, not knowing what to say. Especially knowing that hen was now in danger.
Tk only shakes his head, turning and walking in the opposite direction. "Tk--" Paul goes to say but Judd stops him from moving anywhere.
"Just let him go." Judd states, knowing it was best for Tk to just wrap his head around it first before talking to anybody.
Buck notices how restless Victoria seemed, instantly making his way over to her. "Hey, hey. It's gonna be okay." He assures her as he grabs a hold of her hand.
