Scarlett’s POV
New York traffic is annoying but I make it to the office. I have Thomas with me today while Mom watches the twins and Devon. When I walk into the office I get some strange looks from my employees. When I make it to the break room I see why. [“And I told you no comment!” Louri yells at a reporter on the tv.] “What the fuck? Why is there a news crew at the base?” I ask Kate when I see her. “I have no idea Scarlett but I have a feeling they are there for Louri.” She says. [“Lt. Colonel we are currently live, is there anything you’d like to say to your wife or kids?” The reporter pushes. “You’re broadcasting right now?” Louri asks. “Yes we are.” The reporter says. “Did you say where you’re broadcasting from?” Louri asks and if you don’t know her you wouldn’t be able to catch the worry in her voice. “Yes but Colonel I don’t see how that’s relevant.” The reporter says. “Fine, you want a comment. Your dumb fucking ass has just put thousands of soldiers in danger!! How long have you been broadcasting?” She asks. “An hour maybe. What do you mean, put soldiers in danger?” The reporter asks, her voice now shaky. “Because as far as the world knew this base never exsited and now you have put a giant fucking target on it. Get the hell out of here, you are going home for your protection.” Louri says. “Oh and kids if you are watching don’t worry Mama will be fine, Scarlett I’ll call you as soon as I get the all clear.” Louri says before the feed is cut off.] “Mrs. Johansson? Are you ok?” One of my employees asks. “I will be when Louri calls me.” I say letting out a shaky breath. I head straight to the legal department since the same lawyer that helped me in the Disney lawsuit works for The Outset and I am going to sue that reporter. “I saw it, I assume you want to press charges against the reporter?” Peter asks. “Yes I do. Please find out everything you can about her. I want her served with papers when she lands back in the States.” I say angrily. “I’m on it. You know me, I get results.” He says. “That’s why I hired you.” I smile. “She’ll come home to you Scarlett.” He says when I am walking out. “I just hope it’s not in medical transport.” I tell him before going to my office where Kate is waiting for me. “Go home Scarlett, be with your family.” She says. “Thank you, Peter is already finding out what he can on that bitch so I can sue her for reckless endangerment.” I tell her. 

Louri’s POV
I watched as the blackhawk helicopter with the news crew in it took off to go to camp Lincoln so they could be flown back to the states yesterday. “No one leaves the base till we know for sure that there are no threats. The guards have been doubled.” The General tells us. “Those who are not on duty are to stay in their barracks or pods.” He orders. “Lt. Colonel Evans-Johansson, call your family.” He says quietly to me. “Is a video call ok or is it too likely to be hacked?” I ask. “That’s fine Lt. Colonel.” He says patting my shoulder, I salute him before going to my pod to call my family. It’s been almost 24 hours since the broadcast and Scarlett has most likely been told about it or saw it. 

Scarlett’s POV
I’m losing my mind. I haven't slept since the broadcast, luckily the kids didn’t see it. Well Thomas did because he was in my arms but he’s too young to understand. “Sis please go lay down, you need to sleep or the kids will know something’s wrong.” Hunter pleads to get me to sleep. “What if?” I ask, my lip starts to quiver as I think of all the things that could have happened. “Then you would have been notified.” He says. “What’s that?!” I jump up hearing a ringing sound. “Your phone, Scar it’s Louri trying to Facetime you.” He says. “Then hand over the phone dumb ass.” I say snatching the phone from his hands answering it. “Hey baby. We’re ok, the base has been put on lockdown and the news crew sent home.” She says. “I was so worried about you.” I say collapsing onto my bed and I notice Hunter has left the room. “I’m sorry, I had no idea they were coming. They were there when we got back from patrol with everyone intact by the way.” She says. “Then how did they get there?” I ask. “Apparently they told some of the higher ups that they wouldn’t release the location or name of the base but clearly they let the name of the base out but not the location.” She says. “I saw the broadcast but the kids didn’t.” I tell her and I see her shoulders relax. “Good.” She nods. “Scarlett, when was the last time you slept?” She asks. “The night before the broadcast.” I answer honestly. “That needs to change, I’ll stay on the call but you need to sleep Baby.” She says softly so I get comfortable under the covers and plug my phone in with a longer cord and prop the phone up on Louri’s pillow. “Go to sleep Baby I’m right here.” She says. “I love you.” She says and I am asleep halfway saying it back. 

Louri’s POV
I must have fallen asleep in my chair. The call must still be going because I wake up to the sound of Louisa calling for Scarlett. “Mommy! Mommy! I’m hungry, wake up Mommy.” She says shaking Scarlett awake, causing the phone to fall over so it’s now screen down. “Hello, I'm still here.” I laugh. “Umpf LOuisa!” I hear Scarlett groan before the phone is picked up by said child. “Mama!! Why are you on the phone if Mommy was asleep?” She asks. “We were talking and we both fell asleep because we were tired.” I explain. “Oh Mommy, is going to make breakfast bye.” She says. “Wait Lou..” Scarlett is cut off when Louisa hangs up the phone making me laugh.
