Aurelia sat on her couch writing in the journal Frank had given her. after work and therapy she went straight home to write everything that was flying around in her head. she skipped dinner with Buck, Maddie and Chimney but promised to be at the next one. Aurelia had written at least four pages before her hand began to cramp and shake it, Pongo who was laying on his back beside her with a bunch of toys and his legs up in the air.
her front door opened as Buck walked in with a bag of food. after a ten minute conversation about the key situation, Aurelia ended up giving him the key back which made Buck smile and plant a kiss on her cheek and walk away happily. Aurelia sat up shutting the journal watching Buck grab a plate from the cabinet and make her a plate of the food he had left for her.
"hello to you too." she greeted him resting her chin on the headrest of the couch.
"hi." Buck smiled walking over with the plate and a glass of water.
"you came all the way here to bring me dinner?"
"of course i did. now enjoy." he handed her the plate, Aurelia laughed sitting up more grabbing the plate and fork.
"did Pongo- oh?" Buck made his way around the couch seeing the sleeping dalmatian with his paws in the air.
"he ate, went on a walk and couldn't decide which toy he wanted so he brought all of them." Aurelia took a bite of the pasta.
"so he's basically hungover?" Buck took a seat making Aure nod.
"you missed the snoring too." she added in making him smile, "how was dinner?"
"good. Maddie missed you and says you have to be at the next one." Buck leaned back into the couch, his eyes never leaving Aurelia.
"i will."
"how was therapy?"
Aurelia nodded eating most of her food setting the rest on the coffee table, "good. Frank wanted me to write a bunch so i wrote four pages."
"any progress?"
"a lot. the writing helps." Aurelia crawled over to him as Buck moved a little so she could sit in the small space he made and rested her legs on his lap.
"what about the nightmares?" Buck rested a hand on her thigh drawing shapes.
"it's almost been three weeks since the last one," she smiled as Frank's words replayed in her head.
