Aurelia always wondered what it would be like if she ever saw her mother or father again. it never really crossed her mind and never thought what she would say to them. everything in the last couple of weeks seemed to be a reminder of Daphne and Steven Miller. Buck had noticed her silence the last couple of days but didn't say anything until he knew she was ready to say anything.
the redhead had taken a day off work to get some stuff done in her apartment and to take Pongo for a check up. hoping the day will distract her from her mother and father, Aurelia walked out of the vet with Pongo, a smile on her face watching him jump outside, her eyes looked up seeing two familiar faces.
"Aurelia?"
"Mr. Martin! hi." Aurelia let out a small laugh, the last time she had seen the man and his wife was the day she left Minnesota with Bobby years ago.
"sweetheart, look at you!" his wife, Alice moved her husband bringing the girl in for a hug.
"w-what are you guys doing in L.A?" Aurelia asked pulling away from the hug.
"Jess started school here, we moved her in about a month ago and we liked it here so we decided to move here too." Mrs. Martin informed her.
a small laugh left Aurelia's lips remembering that she used to babysit the Miller's daughter, "wow. that's amazing for her."
"she still asks about you. she'd be so happy to see you again," Mr. Martin says, "how are you and Bobby doing?"
when Bobby first took Aurelia in, he knew of the Martins, Aurelia always talked about them and Bobby knew how much the couple meant to her just like how Mr and Mrs Martin knew how much Bobby meant to her.
"he's good. we both are. i traveled for a bit after we moved here and now i'm a Firefighter at the same station with him. we're with the 118."
"Aurelia, that's amazing sweetheart." Alice smiled squeezing the girls hand.
"if only Daphne and Steven could see how amazing you're doing-" Aurelia's eyes moved to Mr. Martin who quickly stopped talking and covered his mouth.
a wave of heat filled her body, her brows were furrowed, Mrs. Martin covered her face shaking her head at her husband.
"Aurelia, i'm so sorry." he quickly apologized.
"have you seen them?" Aurelia asked the couple who stood silently and slowly nodded their heads.
"it was a long time ago. four years i think. they came back after you and Bobby left." a wave of anger filled Aurelia's body at the thought of their return, her phone began to ring which made her pull her phone out of her back pocket seeing Buck was calling.
