Not all school hallways go: "Oh my God, what a slut!"
I know it's called "fiction" but seriously though.
Make it more realistic like:
"Can I copy your assignment?"
I dunno, give it more of a school vibe.
It's always like this, to be honest. The main character is always bullied in the school hallways. And if he or she is sassy enough, they win the fight with a sassy comeback (even though it came from 2011 or something).
Just be original because if you copy someone else's idea, it's boring.
