back to present.
—6 years later—
7:12 am.
The kitchen counter rattled while the man paced around it, preparing lunchboxes as he await for a certain someone.
Black straight hair that covered his forehead. Far from the bright blonde he used to have years ago. Gone was the youthful features but somehow he managed to age finely.
He was still pretty.
older.
but still pretty.
"Supp! I came here as soon as I can" a tall man wearing normal clothes appeared right in front of the entrance as he approached Sunoo with a smile, hands still inside the pockets of his coat while he checked out the busy atmosphere.
"Thank you so much for coming, hyung. I have a shift in an hour so I can't take them to kindergarten. I'll leave it up to you okay?" Heeseung nodded his head before offering a hand, not really minding his offer to help as long as he could.
"No worries. You just got back from the country for like a year and you adjusted quite well huh?"
"This is where I lived half of my life, hyung. I'm not a foreigner"
"Well, you still left so... Anything I can help with?" Sunoo rolled his eyes as he allowed the alpha to enter the kitchen counter.
"Cut those fruits over there and bring it to me when you're done" he instructed while he made the sandwich and everything. Both males got busy until they both ended up chatting along the way.
"I'm glad you could make time... Don't you have any projects Engr. Lee?"
"I have a lot of pending projects actually but, family first and... i missed the twins. I can't wait to have my own family too" he uttered in delight as he munched a few pieces off the apple before getting hit by a spoon on the arm.
"Can you stop eating my children's food!"
"I just had a bite!"
"You still ate it!"
"Seriously?! I ate a piece!"
"And it's not for you!" Annoyed, Sunoo tried to snatch the task aqay but Heeseung insisted on helping. And by that, he promised not to even eat a piece.
The talk continued for another round until they drifted into a certain topic that got them serious for a while.
"You were over the social media other day. A firm wants to buy five of your paintings? That's a lot! And to think that they've only seen it at your social media platform is a big commitment"
For over three years, Sunoo had started this so called 'account' to post his paintings through an anonymous username. And at some point, his works garnered attention. It went a little too fast and before he knew it, some people were offering him prices to buy his paintings through blind transactions.
That's how he was able to raise money. An extra income he gets aside from his work at a bakery. He was supporting himself and his kids.
Alone.
"I don't even know how they found out about me but i'm glad. Although I don't think I can sell them five of it"
"Why?"
"Because the other one is not for sale. It's the one piece I made. The first ever piece I uploaded on social media..."
"And the one you made for your supposed to be 'final output' before you dropped out of college?" The omega nodded his before grabbing a dinosaur cutter to reshape the sliced apples.
