"pretty! you'll catch a cold!" Sunghoon ran after his omega who rushed through the hospital entrance, still in their pajamas.

"I'm here to see Dr. Sim? I heard he's—"

"o—oh! he's in the operating room now, do you want—"

"i'll manage" Sunoo didn't let the nurse on the reception talk and simply made his way around the hallways. he's been at the hospital before and he frequently visits the beta at work when he had the time.

"hyung?!! ohmygod! we came s fast as we can, w-why is Jake at the operating room? shouldn't he be at the delivery area?" fiddling with his fingers, Sunoo tried to meet Heeseung's gaze who apparently looked like he would faint any minute soon.

"S-Since Jake is a different procedure they said that that they would have to do a beta for h-him... I don't kn—"

"what?" Sunghoon asked for clarification when the older alpha jumbled his words, turning his sentence gibberish.

"hyung, you're blabbering, calm down"

"i—i-i'm fine" Sunoo lightly chuckled when he noticed that Heeseung was trembling all over, skin as pale as milk while chugging down a medicine to calm his nerves.

Based on the nurses that came out of the operating room, Sunoo concluded that Jake was okay and sooner or later, a healthy baby boy would happily greet everyone.

Sunghoon watched his fellow alpha that was stressing and somehow felt what he was going through.

the fear of possibly losing your other half hit him too so even though the alpha is usually calm and has his act together, he couldn't help but to feel nervous as well. as a result, he tapped Heeseung's shoulder and continued to hold on.

"why is it s-so quiet? is he alright inside?" with his shaky voice, Heeseung tried to ask a question that Sunghoon couldn't answer as well.

how would he know?! he was scared too.

"I don't know— why me?"

"I don't k-know! you're not h-helping!" Heeseung elbowed the alpha beside him before biting his nails, feet tapping continuously on the marbled floor as the silence inside the room overtook his whole being.

Heeseung has never been this scared his whole life.

when Sunoo gave birth, he was there too but of course, Jake was with him that time and he didn't feel as much as what he was currently feeling.

Sunoo's laughter erupted before walking towards the two alpha who was helping each other to stand up. the omega gave Heeseung a water to drink and the man immediately accepted.

"what about the twins?"

"Yeji slept at our place yesterday so she's watching the twins for now" the omega replied before going back to his seat.

he thought that he would be the one to get all scared and jittery but the alphas beat him to it that all he could was watch and snort.

"Mr. Lee? you can come inside now—"
