Dazai woke up to the feeling of Chuuya's hand stroking his hair. "It's time to wake up, Osamu. We're at Mori's office, sweetheart. If you're still tired after he finishes looking you over, I have an apartment you can crash at for a couple of hours. Sound good?"
Chuuya cooed softly at his consort's sleepy agreement as Dazai began sitting up and rubbing his eyes. The clip was dangling from his bangs about to slide out again. Chuuya simply removed it and finger combed Dazai's bangs, fluffing them before tucking them and sliding the clip back in.
Dazai gave his boyfriend a sleepy smile. "Thanks Chuuya." He murmured in a groggy voice.
Chuuya smiled softly and kissed Dazai's forehead. "No problem. Now get up mackerel, we'll never hear the end of it if we're late."
Dazai reluctantly righted his seat and unbuckled himself, following Chuuya's example and getting out of the car. "You should be nicer to me, I just woke up and I came all this way for your peace of mind."
Chuuya laughed as he held out a hand for Dazai to take, delighted when his consort actually did. "I am being nice to you. Even if I wasn't, I'm already being very nice by driving you out here to make you feel better, brat."
Dazai gasped playfully. "I am not a brat! Chibi is the real brat! He throws a fit if he doesn't get his way."
Chuuya nodded indulgently as he opened the door to the office. "Exactly, so I should always get my way. That way you don't have to deal with any of my fits."
Dazai laughed. "If that doesn't work with the kids it's not going to work with chibi," he scolded playfully.
"What's this? Someone actually getting away with calling bratty Arahabaki short? The last time that happened he kicked me between my legs, and all I was doing was telling his mother that he was in the lower end of the percentile for boys his age," Mori mocked from where he was leaning against his desk.
Chuuya shot Mori a glare as the doctor ran his hands through his hair, messing it up in a gesture that was eerily similar to both Dazai and the green eyed demon. "Watch it old man, it's not too late for me to help Elise decorate her room and your office in My little pony decor." He took great satisfaction in Mori's wince.
Dazai tilted his head as he looked at his boyfriend. "Chuuya~, do you call everyone old man? You call him old man, you call my father old man, and you call your father old man. Does that mean you'd call your mother old man, too?"
Mori doubled over laughing as Chuuya blanched. "Arahabaki, I will pay you to do that!!!" He liked Arahabaki's consort already. It was clear the boy was nervous and needling Arahabaki to self soothe, and it was working while providing entertainment for Mori.
"You couldn't pay me any amount to call my mother that! She would absolutely murder me!!!" If not her then Lillemor , his mother's dove who was vicious about manners and had often teamed up with Hiromasa when it came to such matters, would surely murder him . The idea of the two companions reuniting to lecture him on manners made him shudder.
Mori grinned. "Well, at least it seems I won't have to be checking over your head today. Had you agreed I might have needed to have you admitted to in-patient care." He teased Chuuya as he waved for both men to follow him.
Dazai tilted his head. "So, Doctor Mori, are you a family friend of Chuuya's?"
Mori nodded his head. "Yes, I've know Arahabaki since he was born, I actually helped deliver him. I knew his parents long before that though. I'm good friends with Kouyou, Verlaine, and Rimbaud."
Dazai gently elbowed Chuuya. "When do I get to meet your mom and papa? You've met my entire family and I've hardly met anyone from yours." He faked a pout.
