Damnit!

"Hey bro, what's up?"

"Someone took Kaya." I rushed out frantically, following the truck. I waited for another car to get in front of me so they wouldn't be able to see it was me behind them.

"What the fuck you mean? How?" Landon jumped up beyond furious, scaring Mia who was now crying, looking at her man confused. 'What's happening?' She mouthed to him. Her lips trembling as she tried to control her tears. He held up a finger telling her to hold on. She got up holding his hand, leaning in trying to hear what was being said.

"I don't know Lan, we were grocery shopping and I missed her call and she was just-" I slammed on breaks when the car in front of me suddenly stopped. I swerved slightly to the right punching the horn to stop from running into the back of them.

When I turned my attention back to the road I didn't see the truck anymore. I immediately began to panic.

I mentally screamed.

I started cursing, saying every word possible.

"Fuck, fuck, FUCK!" I yelled beating the steering wheel. I heard someone honking behind me.

I swerved back into the lane and pulled over in a nearby lot.

"Dmitri!?" I faintly heard yelling. I had completely forgot I was on the phone.

"Dee!?"

"Yeah." I raised the phone to my ear, my voice cracked. I buried my face in my hand. I was fighting tears.

"What's going on man? I heard screeching noises." Landon voiced concerned. I sat in the parking lot, staring at the odometer. I heard him but I couldn't even speak. My heart was now beating out of my chest. I clinched it, closing my eyes to stop the tears from falling. I've lost sight of the vehicle and know my girl is gone.

"I know you hear me man." He said, this time more aggravated.

"She's gone. I- I lost her." Every emotion I felt poured from my eyes. I gripped the steering wheel, knuckles turning red.

The phone went silent on both ends for about 2 minutes before anyone said anything. My heart was beating out of my chest. All I could hear was Mia crying in the background. I put my truck in drive heading to Lans place. I hung up the phone to focus on the road.

10min later

"I'm calling the police now." Mia said grabbing her cell.

"I don't know what the fuck is going on." I walked over to the couch, flopped down and sunk into the cushions. I ran my hands down my face blowing out a breath.

"My sis is going to be ok. And we're going to find her. And when we find out who did this, they're getting there ass beat. Believe that." Landon scolded, sinking next to me. I could tell he was trying to keep it together.

I looked over at Mia as she explained what was going on to the police dispatcher for the 3rd time.

"I know it's technically not considered missing if it's hasn't been 24hrs, but she has been kidnapped." She huffed rolling her eyes, getting frustrated with the person on the phone. "Thank you!" She hung up, throwing her hands up.

"How long is it going to take before they get here?" Lan reached for her hand, pulling her down next to him.

"15 minutes. Dee she's going to be ok?" She gazed at me with a questioning expression.

I shook my head. I honestly didn't know.

"I really don't know Mia. But I'll do everything I can to find her. I have a small description of him. But it doesn't sound like anyone we now." I shake my head, blowing out with a sigh.
