As he drove us to work, I looked out the window and watched as the snow on the ground was melting. I sighed deep as I settled into the passenger seat.

"Don't fall asleep in my car." Dee looked over at me quickly laughing, before putting his eyes back in the road.

"Ain't nobody sleep. I'm just thinking." I sat up looking his way.

"What are you thinking about?... Me?" He is so full of himself, and yes, but I'll never tell.

"No, you ain't nothing to think about." I gave him a side smirk.

"Whatever. You know you like me." His million dollar smile spread across his face. If that smile is not the sexiest thing I've ever seen.

"Boy please, I was just thinking, we've been back to work for a couple of weeks now and since I'm staying at your place for a while, I think I should be helping pay for half of everything. I don't want you to think I'm a freeloader." I unbuckled my seatbelt as he parked in the lot of Barnes and Nobles.

Turning the car off, he came out of his seatbelt and faced me.

"I appreciate you wanting to pay bills but, I told you awhile ago, I got you. Don't you think if i wanted you to pay bills I would've asked?" He looked me right in my eyes.

"Yea, I guess. I just feel bad now, knowing I should be helping you. I mean I am using everything in your apartment, not to mention eating your food, that you buy."

I really felt bad, because I know if it was me, I'd probably charge. Then again, if I'm helping someone out, I don't know. Living with him isn't bad. We're so comfortable around each other, you would've thought we lived together for years.

A Look Back:

The couple of weeks I've been here, Landon and Mia have came over. We would all get together and either go out or just chill. Anything to get my mind off of "What's-his-name". We've all agreed not to bring him up anymore. And ever since I called and got my name taken off of all the rental forms for the apartment, the last I heard he was back living with his mom and the apartment was up for rent. I could feel sorry for him but I'm not. He just better be lucky Landon or D'mitri hasn't whooped his ass yet.

Look Back Over

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Look Kaya, if it makes you feel better, why don't you just help buying the groceries then. I really don't want you to do anything but what you do." He gave me a sincere smile. All I could do was nod.
I turned in my seat to grab my purse. As I reached for the door, D'mitri grabbed my arm.
"I can tell your feeling more confident and comfortable with yourself. I like it" I just look at him. What is he trying to say.
"What I'm saying is you look less stressed. Your body language, the way you talk the way you walk, even the way you dress. I can tell this is the real you and I'm happy for you." He said seriously moving closer to me. A confused looked crossed my face.
"Thank you, I-I feel so much better. T-thank for your help and taking me in." Did I just stutter? OMG!
"Look Kaya... I've always thought you were beautiful, ever since the first day we met. But now, since you dropped the asshole, you're even more beautiful. Ave you're welcome." He leaned forward, I had no room to move back. He planted a soft warn kiss on my forehead.
