Noah walks into the office, where he sees Loona at the desk.
"Hey Loona." Noah said, earning the Hellhound's attention. "I... uh, I brought you a coffee."
Loona said nothing as she glared at him.
"Your favorite." Noah said, hoping to get on Loona's good side.
"Already had one." Loona said flatly before returning her attention to her phone.
Noah, sighing out, looks down in dismay. "Loona, I know you're still mad at me for...
"Mad? Mad?!" Loona repeated angrily as she glanced back at him. "Mad doesn't begin to cover it, jackass!" She declared as she stood up. "You put your neck on the line for Stolas! Your life is currently at risk!"
"I know, love." Noah replied. "But I couldn't just sit by and let it all happen!"
"You have two weeks to pull this off, Noah!" Loona barked back. "Two! Fucking! Weeks! How the hell are you going to prove that Stella and Andrealphus set the whole damn trial up in two weeks?!"
"Loona, I-"
"What if you fail, huh? Did you never put that into consideration?!" Loona asked angrily. "Did you not once consider how me and the others will feel if you get the axe?!"
"Hey, even if I do, I'll just appear back in Hell!" Noah replied with a shrug. "I'm still alive!"
"Yeah, and what if you get killed off again?!" Loona responded. Noah was speechless, and a bit scared. "Ugh! I need some air! Don't wait up!"
When Loona exits the room, Noah looks down in sadness, sighing out in defeat. He sits on one of the office chairs, coming his hair in frustration.
"You ok?"
Noah looks up to see Millie standing in front of him.
"No, not really." Noah replied, slunling his shoulders. "Ver since the trial, Loona and Verosika haven't been paying me any mind. I tried to talk to them, but they just gave me the cold shoulder."
"Can you blame them?" Millie asked. "How do you think I felt when you risked your life on Stolas's behalf?"
"So what? I was just going to sit by and watch that overgrown pigeon get away with a trial he completely rigged?" Noah snapped back.
"But what Stolas did was illegal." Millie replied. "Even though he did help us out."
"Yes, Stolas committed a crime, but doesn't deserve this!" Noah shot back. "He doesn't deserve to be treated like dirt by that witch Stella! He doesn't deserve to have everything he worked for taken away!"
"Honey, you always put your friends first before you!" Millie smirked back, taking Noah by surprise. "You always put their problems before you. You risk your life for others."
Noah, taking in Millie's words, looks down in thought while she slowly lifts his chin up for him to look her in the eye.
"It's ok to help others, Noah." Millie said, placing a hand on his cheek. "But that doesn't give you the reason to put yourself in danger. You gotta understand that there are people whose heart breaks just from seeing you get hurt."
