294.Jeon Jungkook is involved

"President...I..." Jaehyun had his head lowered as he felt too much shame and guilt. Even though he never saw Lisa with respect, but considering that she was his boss's wife, it was his responsibility to protect her, putting his personal thoughts aside. "I did not have any idea about her condition," It was not until he saw her losing her calm when she rubbed her hand did he realize that something was amiss.

"So, you decided to test her abilities? To see how she deals with the situation? Was it fun?" Taehyung's eyes narrowed. He did not know why people were messing with him today.

"I..." The man did not know what to say. On other days, he would not have bothered to reply to anyone other than Jungkook but today seemed to have an exception, "I have made sure that whatever happened would not leak out. They will keep their mouth shut."

Taehyung frowned before glaring at Jungkook with a 'You deal with this fool before I kill him' look.

Jungkook did not spare Jaehyun a look as he looked at the other man standing quietly with his head lowered, "Eunwoo," he called out to which the man slightly raised his head, "From today onwards, you are the Captain of Jeon Elites."

There was a deafening silence in the room before Eunwoo bowed, "I will fulfill my duties properly," He said, despite sensing the depressing atmosphere around his elder brother. He knew he could not go against Jungkook's orders, and somewhere it was his brother's fault for neglecting his duties.

At this point, Jungkook glanced at Jaehyun, "You will be Lisa's bodyguard from now on."

Jaehyun clenched his fists. It was humiliating for him to be reduced to this state. "Yes, boss," The man bowed, knowing that it was the consequence of his own doing.

"Boss?" Jungkook raised an eyebrow, "From now on, I have got nothing to do with it. Whatever Lili says, it will be your command," Violence is not necessary every time. For a prideful man like Jaehyun, this was the best punishment.

"Yes," The man nodded his head solemnly. He was humiliated after being reduced to this state, he was in disbelief that Jungkook was not the one he was working under anymore but there was guilt gnawing upon his conscience for not fulfilling his duties properly, which caused him to accept the punishment.

"You can leave," Both the Cha brothers turned around and left leaving Taehyung and Jungkook alone in the study. Taehyung had earlier came to meet his sister but she was already sleeping and somewhere he knew that she would not have wanted to talk to him even if she was awake.

Taehyung understood the reasons behind Jungkook's actions. Jaehyun got the push that required him to protect Lisa keeping personal feelings aside. Not that they could not get someone else to do the job, but the man was best for it.

"Jungkook, we have messed up big this time. Let's just hope Lali forgets about it. In the meantime, I will be trying to trace the Kingsman," He said to which Jungkook nodded, "I am sure they will be distracted for the time being."

Taehyung could not agree more, "I'll go deal with the reporters properly."

"How is Mo Jia?"

Jungkook's voice made Taehyung pause in his tracks as he turned back to look at the man, "She is fine. But you sure have some tricks, how dare you ask my wife to stay away from me?"

"I asked her to stay away from lechers," Jungkook nonchalantly said, "Are you one?"

"You..." Taehyung refrained himself from losing his temper, "Anyways, it was not true. I had my doubts initially but it was confirmed when I hacked into the hospital's systems and checked the CCTV footage, I found out that it was my secretary."

"Good that you have got some brains."

Taehyung gritted his teeth before storming out of the study. He rarely lost his calm but every time he did, it was always because of this jerk.

On a faraway land, a middle-aged man had his head lowered as he sat on the windowsill, his gaze blank, "Have you investigated the man?"

"Chief, there is not much information Taehyung... He seems to be an orphan but the fact that Lisa is his sister...it was kept hidden," The man said.

The middle-aged man turned his head towards the source of the voice, his gaze did not seem to have focus, "Do you think she is not Kim Goeun's?"

The other man contemplated about it, "It could not be said for sure because she somehow resembles her. Many facts point that she is Kim Goeun's and Gong Yoo's daughter. But then, Taehyung is not an ordinary man right now. Why would he lie?"

"Is he her son? She never revealed it and Taehyung is never spotted with Gong Yoo," At the mention of Gong Yoo, the man's aura turned cold, "It doesn't matter. Keep investigating. Check if Taehyung's face holds similarities to that man or Kim Goeun and be cautious. Anybody related to that bastard will not live longer. Did you find anything regarding the stolen information from Jeon Empires?"

"The men are still decoding it."

The middle-aged man pursed his lips, "They are still doing it? How slow!"

"But Chief... we have already extracted a piece of information from it," The man continued placating him to control his anger.

"Explain."

"The current President of Jeon Empires, Jungkook is involved with the military."

The middle-aged man stood up from the window-sill holding his cane in his hand, "Good...very good," He whispered giving the room an eerie feeling. One could not see his features as half of his face was hidden in the dark, but one could see his blank eyes which lacked light.

The man quickly bowed and left trying to mask the fear he felt in front of this man.
