Penny laid wide awake in bed, staring at the ceiling. She looked next to her and smiled softly seeing Stephen sleeping. He had stayed up late the other night trying to coax her to sleep, so they both got little rest. Penny's glad he's resting now. 

Penny slipped out of bed, grabbing her robe and slipping it on as she made her way out of the room. They were in the room of requirement; it was a large with a room for everyone in the group. 

Penny moved to the sofa, sitting in front of the fireplace, letting the fire warm her. 

"Everything okay?" 

Penny turned around to see Ned smiling at her. "Yeah." Penny muttered turning back to the fire. 

Ned moved to sit next to her, even if this is an older version of his best friend, it's still his best friend and he knows her like the back of his hand. "Tell me what's running through your mind." 

Penny sighed running a hand through her hair "What if you guys don't fix the future?" She whispered one of her fears "What if it stays the same or gets worse." 

Ned didn't answer right away, taking the time to think over what Penny fears. "I know it must be scary for you and Stephen. To not know what you're going back to, but you have to faith in us." 

"I have faith, and I get disappointed."  

Ned nodded a little, after everything he saw, he wouldn't want to get his hopes up just to having nothing changed. "Then don't have faith on the future have faith in us." Ned grabbed her hand "Because we are going to work, every single day, to change the future you know. I swear." 

Penny sniffled moving closer to her friend. Ned wrapped an arm around her shoulder, holding her tightly. They don't know how the future will change, but Ned will make sure his sister gets a better future then the one she has now.

The next day, everyone was dressed and, in the hall, ready to watch more memoires. Penny and Stephen cuddled on a sofa, ready to watch, Penny hoped it wasn't too bad this time. 

A 16-year-old Penny rushed through the streets of New York, hoodie up as it was pouring rain.

Penny winced knowing what memory this is. 

Penny, stopped in front of the Avenger Tower in New York. She smiled holding up her camera to take some photos for the school New Paper, they're doing on the Avengers new base. 

Above Penny, a black spider with a red hourglass symbol, hung by its own web slowly lowered itself. 

Natasha eyes went wide seeing the red hourglass. Clint took her hand in his giving her some comfort knowing that symbol brought back memories she would rather forget. 

Tony narrowed his eyes, something about that spider seemed familiar, but he couldn't pinpoint what about the spider tingled his mind. 

The spider landed on Penny shoulder, before it crawled its way up her arm towards her hand. Penny didn't notice as she took more photos of the spiders before a sharp pinch in her hand made her look up. 

The spider bite her "Damn" Penny hissed smacking the spider with her other hand.    

Penny rubbed her hand. Sometimes she could still feel the pain from that bite. 

Penny rubbed her hand, looking down at the spider, and stepped on it, killing it. 

Tony eyes widened, "No." He muttered. Oh God, he... he didn't even think about that. How could he allow that to happen! God he was so stupid. 

It was now nighttime, and Penny sat in her bedroom, laptop in front of her editing the pictures of Stark Tower, when she started feeling sick. 

The laptop screen became blurry, ringing filled the room. 

"What's going on?" A first year asked. 

Penny licked her lips "You're seeing some things through my eyes." She told everyone. Most looked at the screen confused and worried, wondering what's happening to her for this to be going on. 

Penny groaned stumbling out of bed. Penny uses the wall to keep herself up "Fuck" Penny muttered. The room became blurry, the lights shinned brighter making Penny squint in pain as she fell to her knees. 

Tony and Stephen sat up worried. Tony felt guilty he didn't know Penny was in so much pain because of that spider bite. He didn't think of what Penny went through to get her powers. Maybe he should have. 

"May...Ben..." Penny muttered as she fell to her side eyes closing. 

May covered her mouth. How did she not know this was going on? How did Penny go through this pain, and she didn't even notice, didn't see it.
