My hand slowly reaches for the handle as I unsheathe the blade from its holder. Fingers grasping it firmly as I watch the blade glint with promising bloodshed.
My eyes land on the first Daemos I see. Possibly the strongest of these filthy, lying pests. Pierce.
With slow and steady steps i soon stood beside the sitting man.
If I hadn't known better, one would think he's actually asleep.
But my eyes don't fail to notice his unsteady and wary breathing. As if he knows I'm here. As if he knows of my intentions as I point my blade at his neck.
"I know you're awake."
PIERCE'S POV :
I couldn't help but clench my jaw as my blood rushed with adrenaline. Feeling the cold edge of the sharp blade barely gaze my skin as I open my eyes slowly.
My eyes finding those cold and unforgiving eyes. The dark veil of the night only serves to make Lady L/N look even more menacing in her own haunting beauty.
"You are aware now, aren't you?.." My deep voice spoke in a lowered whisper, careful not to wake the others just yet and alarm them this late in the night.
I watch as her eyes narrow at my words, making me shudder ever so slightly as my hands tightened around the handle of my own weapon.
"Very much." She replies with a cold and unfeeling tone as she presses the blade against my skin, threatening to draw blood.
I take a deep breath, maintaining composure as I search her eyes for any hint of hesitation.
"Would an explanation perhaps suffice to prevent a bloody night?"
YOUR POV :
The words make me scoff lightly. "I don't exchange mercy with more lies."
I watch as Pierce maintains his stoic expression, though I could see the underlying caution in his eyes as he slowly pushes himself up to his feet, my blade never faltering as I let him stand.
Now on eye level I watch as he practically searches my eyes with faint hope.
He pauses to consider his words. "But if you were in our position you'd have done the same." He murmurs as he boldly takes a small step forward, which I don't tolerate as the blade cuts him slightly, though it didn't phase him, he merely stops.
"And if you were in mine, you would too."
PIERCE'S POV :
Her words make my hardened gaze falter, the balance of the situation making it hard to negotiate.
And I know that she knows with how she clicks her tounge.
I've been driven into a corner so easily with so very little words. Forced to take the path of violence once more as my hands tightened around my weapon.
