ANGELA POV
"I said that Ruby would miss her afternoon nap if we kept letting her sleep." Tim said
"That's it?" I asked
"Yeah." Tim said."Things have been a little tense lately."
"When's the last time you two had a night with just the two of you. No baby." I asked
"It's been a while." Tim admitted
"How long has it been?" Nyla asked
Tim looked embarrassed, and he put his hand on the back of his neck.
"It. It. It was um before Ruby was born." Tim said
"What? That's crazy." I said
"This crazy phenomenon began about two months ago." Tim said
"What was that?" Nyla asked
"Every time Lucy and I would do something as simple as kiss. Ruby would cry. No matter what. I could try and hold her hand, and that would cause Ruby to cry." Tim said, slightly defeated.
"Jesus." Nyla said
"Alright. Text your wife. I'm taking Ruby tomorrow night, and you guys can have a night to yourselves." I said
"Really?" Tim Asked
"Yes. Now go. Plan something romantic." I said

TIM POV
"So what do you think? Dinner at our favorite restaurant. Relaxing night, just the two of us. Angela said her and Wesley would take Ruby for the night." I said,"Champagne, Chocolate from your favorite store, a warm bath." I added sweetening the deal.
"Okay. Sounds amazing. We both could use the break." Lucy admitted.
"Perfect. I'll text Angela and tell her you're in. We can drop Ruby off on our way to dinner." I said
"If she's spending the night. We have to get the milk and everything prepared." Lucy said
"I already did. Spare bottle in there just in case." I said."The only thing that's not done is actually putting her stuff in a bag."
"Perfect. I'll put her clothes and everything in a bag." Lucy said
"You wanna send the diaper bag?" I asked
"May as well." Lucy said."You know. I am excited."
"Me too, love." I said, kissing Lucy's forehead.

AT THE STATION

ANGELA POV
"How was Lucy and Tim's night away?" Nyla asked
"I haven't seen them since they dropped the baby off at my place last night." I said,"And Tamara picked Ruby this morning."
"Tim should be here by now, right?" Nyla said
"Yeah. Lucy's on leave for another few weeks. He should be here by now." I said
"Speaking of." Nyla said, looking past my shoulder
"Tim!" I called
"Lopez?" Tim said back
"How was your night?" I asked
"Exactly what we needed." Tim admitted
"What did you end up doing?" Nyla asked
"We went to the food trucks where we had our second date." Tim said
"That's it?" I asked
"Well, I'm not going to kiss and tell." Tim said with a small smile.
"Now you can say you've had 'alone time' since Ruby was born." I said, chuckling
"Thankfully." Tim said."We needed a night. I think we remembered we are more than just parents."
"Believe me. If anyone understands that feeling." Nyla admitted."It's us."
"And Wesley and I are happy to take Ruby anytime you guys need a break. I love to spend time with my God daughter." I said
"James and I can always help too." Nyla said
"Thank you." Tim said
