I loved you in the same way that
Heart lines go flat
In empty hospital roomsThe diagnosis:
There was too much water in my bloodstream
Or was it just you?
I think it was the latterI loved you like they way
You planted flowers in my lungs
They look so elligant
But I can't fucking breathThe roots poked holes in my heart
And now it's bleeding
And I know that hearts are supposed to bleed
But not like thisI loved you like the way flowers wilt on a grave site
Because it's hard to love a ghost, I know
Especially when the feeling isn't thereBut the truth is
It was never there, and it will never be
So I'll love you like I loved cut wrists
Bitter but longing for it-Ploys.
