Oscar climbed into the ambulance while Cesar watched with tears in his eyes. "Stay with us Carlos." The paramedics said as he put an oxygen mask over his face.
Carlos laid unconscious as the ambulance took off towards the hospital. Oscar watched anxiously as they applied pressure to his bullet wounds and another paramedic wrapped his head that was bleeding.
"Is he gonna be ok?" He asked.
"We're gonna do everything in our power to save him." The female paramedic replied.
Soon they pulled up to the hospital. Just as they opened the door, Carlos began seizing. His whole body shaking.
"What's wrong with him?" Oscar panicked.
"Sir, please move out the way." They strapped his shaking body down before rushing him off the ambulance and into the hospital. Oscar rushed behind them but he was stopped at the double doors.
He knew all too well that he couldn't go back there, having been here many times before. He paced back and forth before dropping his head into his hands.
"Not my brother, not my brother." He shook his head as he sat down in the chair.
"Heart rate is dropping, I need the defibrillator!" He heard the doctor yell making his heart drop. He couldn't lose his brother. Carlos had too much going for himself.
"It should've been me." He cried.
Cesar quickly rushed into the hospital, finding Oscar with his head in his hands. "What's going on? Is he ok? What did they say?" He bombarded Oscar with questions.
"They're not saying anything. He had a seizure as we were getting off. I just heard that his heart rate is dropping. I don't know hermano, I'm scared for him." Oscar told him.
"Everything's gonna be ok." Cesar reassured. "Should we tell Raquelle?"
"Not yet, not until the doctor talks to us. I don't wanna stress her out, she has Saint. You know she's a loose cannon sometimes." Oscar said.
"You're right, she'll lose her mind." Cesar agreed.
They sat there for hours, it was going on 10pm when Raquelle finally called. Cesar glanced down at his phone seeing her name flash across the screen.
"Should I answer?" He asked Oscar.
"Not yet—." He was cut off by the doctor walking out. His scrubs were covered in blood.
