I didn't say a word and continued to eat my food. My whole body was relaxed while I looked at the angry Vampire in front of me, silently waiting for him to calm down while he stared at me, getting angrier and angrier with each passing second because I didn't show any emotion at all, especially fear which was something that I was not.

I couldn't because no matter how angry I made him, he couldn't hurt me...

Ren hissed before he closed his eyes, clenching his hands into his fists. His whole body shook, but he made no move to attack me while he tried to calm himself down, which I knew from experience would take him a while. His teeth pricked further and further out of his mouth, and he looked more like a Vampire than he had beforehand, even though he had to fight it in front of me because I wasn't a part of that world any longer.

Not until I was fully claimed by Xavier or they knew that I was claimed by the Original Ten...

I bit back a small satisfied smirk while I leaned back in my seat, and I took another bite from my food while I continued to wait for him to calm down. I didn't say a word while I waited, not calling him by his first name or calling him anything else.

Finally, after a while my best friend slowly started to relax, and he slowly started to sink lower in his seat as his anger started to leave him just as slowly as it came. "Ti odio, (I hate you,)" he said and bared his teeth in warning. He grabbed his sunglasses and placed them on his face while he stared at me with a dark look on his face.

I bit back a small chuckle and slowly nodded. "Lo so, (I know,)" I said before I cleared my throat and shifted in my seat, flashing him a small smirk and a wink. "Ma anche tu mi ami. (But you love me, too.)" I finished the rest of the bar and tossed it on the table in front of me.

"Hmph." Ren pressed his lips into a thin line and narrowed his eyes. He didn't say an actual word while he stared at me, studying me with his eyes covered by his sunglasses.

I sighed and moved a hand through my hair before I moved a hand across his face while I raised an eyebrow in question, shaking my head just a tad. "Perché odi il tuo nome? (Why do you hate your name?)" I asked and raised the eyebrow higher in question while I studied him.

Ren rolled his eyes and set his jaw, pressing his lips into a thin line. "Non odio il mio nome, (I do not hate my name,)" he said, with a small hum in his voice while he cocked his head to the side. "Odio che tu mi chiami per nome quando non è necessario. (I hate you calling me by my name when you do not have to.)"

I bit back a small chuckle while I slowly nodded. "Lo so, (I know,)" I said before I cleared my throat and shifted in my seat, growing serious, and Ren followed my lead and grew serious, too. "Now, are we going to actually talk about what's going on or not?" I asked and raised an eyebrow in question while I studied him, switching to English. "Why did you leave me?"

Ren bit back a tired sigh and shook his head while he moved a hand through his hair and across his face. "I did not mean to leave you for that long, so please, forgive me," he said while he tucked his head closer to his chest, and he instantly followed my lead and switched back to talking in English. "Also, do not worry about it, Cassidy Anne," he said with a small hum in his voice while he called me by my full name.

I rolled my eyes and pressed my lips into a thin line, biting back a tired sigh. "Whatever, Ren," I said with a small grumble before I cleared my throat and shifted in my seat. "But do you know what happened to the others?" I asked and raised an eyebrow in question while I studied him, changing the subject to the rest of our group. "Are they alive?"

"They are," he said and slowly nodded, and I couldn't help but breathe a small sigh of relief while my shoulders sagged as if the weight of the world was lifted from my shoulders.
