We fear the world, the width and the depth of it's complexity,
We fear the people with whom, our perceptions discern in perplexity.
We fear the ideas that don't align with our belief systems,
Basically, We fear the unknown, the unravelled,
The road not travelled.
But do we truly know ourselves?
Isn't our own sub conscience disguised and concealed,
Never perceivable completely.
Are we aware of the alien inside?
Ain't we strangers too,
Unknown to our own ways.
Then why fear the world outside,
When what we should be afraid of, is within.
That is who we should fear,
The man in the mirror.
