Best Friend

Dream yet bore in her eyes, when she woke up,

Quite pale with what she saw.

Her dream was for real, so implausible,

She could presage a heartbreak, fatal.

His mouth clinching to wear a smile,

The one he bore when he saw her.

So perfect, in ethereal time,

She warned self breaking her rhyme.

His eyelashes fluttering in disbelief of beauty,

Beauty admired through his eyes.

Just as she couldn't believe that truth,

She lost herself to the youth.

The guy, who could love her all the time,

Someone who knew her even in her silence.

The best guy, she could ever belong to,

Her best friend  she could confide in.

He could smile,

And just become a panacea for all her pains.

He would rescue her from her own obscurities,

Making the dream become a reality.

So, she held his hand,

And asked for an eternity.

And he never replied,

Just walked into eternity with her.
