Later that evening, Shadow decided to go into the abandoned town since he wanted to see what was in there. Once he was in the street of the town, Shadow noticed an abandoned Japanese restaurant.

It was late fall, slowly edging into the chills of winter. Which meant it was almost time for many of the herd animals, such as deer and elk, to migrate. Some of them would stay behind, while others would soon leave.

Once inside, Shadow looked around the restaurant and noticed that all the chairs and tables were turned over and that the cooking appliances were on the floor.

As he ventured further into the old restaurant, Shadow didn't find any food. After a few minutes of sniffing around, Shadow left the abandoned Japanese restaurant.

Shadow went back into the forest to hunt with his family. They brought down a cow elk that was by herself. As he and his family ate the cow elk, Shadow couldn't help but think about the season of winter slowly approaching.

All the wolves of the forest would have to savor the food that they ate, because soon, it would be difficult to find any.
