CHAPTER THIRTY TWO: You Got Me

I glance at my sulking passenger. After I called her childish hindi na ulit sya kumibo. I drove eight hours just to get her and now I am going to drive another eight hours so we could go home.

I must be really nuts!

I noticed the bandage on her left foot. "What happened to your foot?" I ask her.

"Sprained it." Walang gana nyang sagot.

I snorted. "Akala ko ba Eugene can take good care of you?" I said.

"I didn't tell you that." She blurted out.

"But your father did." I replied. She just rolled her eyes at me.

"Ano bang meron kay Eugene at galit na galit ka sa kanya?" Inis na tanong sa akin ni Yanny. Now she is siding with him?

"Ahh ganun! Ngayon kinakampihan mo na sya! Sabihin mo nga sa akin babaeng kwago! Are you and that Eugene guy having an affair?"

"What?!!!!!" Yanny exclaimed at pinandilatan pa ako ng mata. "Hoy Byron! Ig meron man sa ating dalawa na nangangaliwa ikaw yun! You even brought your woman at home while I am away and someone saw you kissing in front of our gate!"

I stepped on the brakes.

"Hey watch it!" Yanny shouted when she almost hit her head on the dashboard.

She knew about Helena's visit and the kiss?

"Pambihira! Did you hire someone to spy on me?" I ask Yanny as I park the car at the side of the street.

"Of course not! Bakit naman kita pag-aaksayan ng pera at panahon? I clearly told you not to bring any of your women at home pero ginawa mo parin and someone saw you. Maswerte tayo that it was Aly."

I let out a sigh. I know I made a mistake for letting Helena inside our house and the kiss? Well Helena just caught me by surprise with that one. It was her who initiated it.

"Kaya as far as I know Byron wala ka ding pakialam if I am with Eugene or any other guy." Yanny added then she looks outside the window again.

"I'm sorry. I wasn't really expecting that she will visit me at home again." I softly said.

"If you are planning to have an affair with her just please be discreet Byron and as much as possible please don't let me know." Yanny said as she continued to stare outside the window.

"I told you I am not having an affair!" I exclaimed.

Hindi na ulit kumibo si Yanny so I drove back into the street.

The silence in the air is deafening pero kung kakausapin ko ulit si Yanny we might end up fighting again kaya nagtiis na lang ako.

"I want to pee." Yanny suddenly said breaking the silence.

"Sa bahay mo na ilabas yan." I replied. I just want to go home already. Naiinis pa rin ako sa Eugene na yun.

"Gusto mo bang sumabog itong pantog ko?! Find a gasoline station where I could pee or else iihian ko itong kotse mo!" She shouted.

"Fine!" I shouted back. Napaka highblood naman kasi ng kwagong ito! Masama yata talaga ang mood dahil inilayo ko sya sa lalaking yun.

I parked at a nearby gasoline station so that Yanny can go to the comfort room. While waiting for her I decided to buy some coffee. I am so tired. Ilang oras na akong nagmamaneho.

Holding the cups of coffee on my hand I slid my other hand inside my pocket to get the car keys but nabitawan ko ito at nahulog ito sa loob ng isang maliit na drainage.
