Wedding Day

I know I was planning on the next chapter being Carmine Falcone's death, but it's so hard for me to do it. So I decided to procrastinate it by doing a chapter of Mario's and Lee's wedding. This chapter also shows Sofia being extremely possessive.

It was the day that Mario Calvi was going to marry Lee Thompkins. Mario's father, Carmine Falcone, was going to be the one to walk Lee down to the isle. Mario's nephew and godson, Leo, was going to be the ring bearer, while Mario's niece, Catherine, was going to be the flower girl.

Leo and Catherine who were both only five years old were getting ready for the wedding with the help Leo's mother, Sofia, and Catherine's father, Alberto. Leo and Catherine wanted to get ready together, but Sofia insisted because Leo is a boy and Catherine is a girl they had to be in separate rooms, Alberto tried telling her it would be fine as they were cousins, but Sofia ignored him.

"Mommy are you happy about Uncle Mario's wedding?" Leo asked looking up at his mother, who was brushing his hair, with big innocent blue eyes.

"Yes, baby, I am," Sofia answered, dressed in a sapphire blue dress, pearl necklace and black heels.

"Are Cathy and I are going to have to call Ms. Thompkinks, Auntie Lee now," Leo asks.

"I think your uncle would like it if you did," Sofia states.

"Okay," Leo said with a little reluctance, "But what if she doesn't like us?"

"Darling you met Lee a lot of times to know that isn't the case," Sofia said gently, "Now behave yourself during the wedding."

Leo looks up at his mother and nods.

Sofia kisses his cheeks, "Good boy."

When they were ready Leo was dressed in a white shirt, black dress jacket, black dress pants and black dress shoes, a black bow tie and a boutonniere. Then when Sofia and Leo saw Catherine and Alberto, Catherine was dressed in a white dress and white dress shoes and was wearing a floral wreath and Alberto was dressed in a white shirt, navy blue dress jacket, navy blue dress pants, navy blue bow tie and black dress shoes.

"Well it looks we're all ready," Alberto states.

"I agree," said Sofia.

The four of them then headed to the limo and went to the church for the wedding.

When it was time for the wedding ceremony, Mario was the first one to walk down the aisle. Leo and Catherine walked down the aisle next as Catherine threw the flower petals on the floor and Leo carried the rings on a pillow. Then soon their grandfather, Carmine Falcone, came out with Lee Thompkins as he walked her down the isle. When they got the end Carmine handed Lee off to Mario then stood next to his grandkids. The ceremony started and the vows began.

The priest spoke, "Do you, Leslie, take Mario to be your husband?"

"I do," Lee answers.

The priest then said to Mario, "And do you, Mario, take Leslie to be your wife?"

"I do," Mario answers.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride," said the priest.

Mario lifted Lee's wedding veil and kissed her. Leo closed his eyes in disgust and Catherine was looking sad.

"Ladies and gentlemen, Mr and Mrs Calvi," the priest announces. The crowd cheers, except for Catherine and Leo.

When the ceremony was over Leo and Catherine they tried to sneak away to play outside, but their parents wanted family photos. After family pictures with Leo and Catherine were taken they were able to sneak away and play tag, unfortunately it lasted only ten minutes when Sofia decided to show up and take Leo.
