"Everything is fine with me, you heard the doctor." Serkan said, wrapping his arm around Eda's shoulder and pressing her to his side as he steered her toward the hospital corridor where everybody was waiting for them.
Eda clung to him. "You really scared me."
"But you saw my results, everything is in perfect order. Nothing ominous is happening, you have nothing to worry about." Serkan brushed his lips over the top of Eda's head while she lifted her gaze to meet his eyes.
"You never had headaches at home." She said, biting her lips in worry.
"But it seems I had them often before. It could be a change of scenery, or stress at work, or lack of sleep." Serkan smiled at Eda, stroking her shoulder reassuringly. "I must confess that I worked last night when you went to sleep."
"Serkan!" Eda drew her brows together, ready to reproach him, but Serkan leaned in to silence her with a kiss.
"By the way, I saw my mother here." Serkan took Eda by her arms and positioned her before him, smiling at her. "And I know what you were doing, sneaking behind my back."
Eda rolled her eyes theatrically. "You can hardly call it sneaking behind your back. And how could you know?"
"Maybe I know everything." Serkan's eyes sparkled playfully, but when Eda squinted suspiciously, he laughed lightly. "Seyfi showed me the surveillance footage from the day you put a bag on my mother's head and led her outside."
"I didn't put a bag on your mother's head!" Eda huffed, almost offended. "I put a scarf on her eyes."
Serkan smiled even brighter, watching her softly as he cupped her cheeks and kissed her pout. "Baby, you are a miracle-maker. You gave my mother her freedom back."
"I didn't do anything." Eda blushed profusely, putting her gaze down. "She left the house on her own because of you, so you were the main cause, not me. I just drugged her."
"You drugged her?" Serkan frowned, surprised, and Eda giggled.
"Well, today Seyfi drugged her." She shrugged and pressed her head to his chest. "Serkan, will you promise me that you won't be pushing yourself during your headaches? Just get some rest? I know you want to prove yourself after your coming back to your company and with this new contract, but don't overdo yourself, ok?"
"I promise." Serkan nodded and kissed her head. "I'm taking a day off, and I will be only half-time in Artlife. After all, I came here to find out about my life, not to throw myself into murderous work. I should spend more time with my mother to get to know her better, but I was running between two companies. I don't need this."
"Perfect." Eda beamed at Serkan, stepping out of his embrace, only to take his hand as they walked back to their friends and family.

Selin stood in front of the floor-length window in her office at Holding, frantically checking her phone for more news. Since Kaan Karadağ made a habit of calling her regularly with more paparazzi pictures of Serkan with his family and taunting her with his ideas for headlines, she hadn't had even a second of peace.
So much so that even blind items about Eda being a bimbo gold digger didn't give her any satisfaction anymore. Not even when the gossip started to live its own life, and she didn't have to spin any new stories, as they were popping out on their own, as different media outlets sensed their chance to make a quick buck out of Serkan and his mysterious private life.
