Dan and Phil Adopt...

Chapter 74: Argument number 2...

Zoe's P.O.V

The corner of my eyes began to prick and I tried to hold back the tears. I didn't betray him. Chris told me to meet him. Chris nearly killed me. Chris nearly killed my children. How could Dan say this to me?

"Zoe?"

I turned around and Phil was peeking round the corner of the living room. I just stared at him with tears gathering in my eyes. He walked over to me and hugged me. I let it go (A/N: DON'T YOU EVEN DARE). I cried on Phil's shoulder until he broke away and asked me what happened.

"Why are you crying? Pregnancy thing?" He smirked, wiping away a tear that was running down my cheek.

I shook my head and told him everything. About Chris, About Dan, About my rage.

He didn't get angry with me. He was slightly upset that Chris had tried to go near me but that was all.

"It's okay Zo. I understand. But you must never meet with him or talk to him again" He whispered sternly.

I nodded and hugged him.

"Thanks"

"Want me to go talk to Dan? He's knocking everything over as he walks past?" Phil chuckled.

I nodded again.

"Tell him I'm sorry" I called as he left the room.

"Okay" He yelled back.

I sat there in silence, listening to Dan smash and rage and cry and rage. A basic pattern that caused a lot of damage. I twiddled my thumbs, waiting for him to come in and yell at me. More raging. More crying. More smashing...

"She disobeyed us Phil! I said not to go near him and she did!" Dan cried.

"No Dan. You misunderstood. Chris called her anonymously. She didn't know it was him!" Phil protested.

"I don't care. He is not to go anywhere near us or this household. Ever" Dan stormed out of the house.

He slammed the door, making a picture fall off the wall and smash. It was a picture of Phil, Ocean, Taylor, Iris and Sophie ages ago. Phil walked over to it and picked it up. He sighed at the state of it and took the picture out of the frame.

"There goes another one"

I felt bad for Phil. He always gets the worst end of things.

"It's ok. I'll buy you a new one" I suggested to him but he declined.

"No, it's fine. I'll put it in my photo album with the other special pictures" He smiled weakly at me.

I smiled back but he wasn't convinced.

"You don't need to pretend to be happy around me, Zoe" He said, walking up the stairs and entering his room.

Oceanna came rushing in the front door.

"Whoa. What's wrong?" I asked, panicking.

"It's Dan"
