Chapter 16: The Ring

Raven was beginning to get over Terra and Jesse going out. She certainly wasn't jealous, but she was upset that Jesse knew that she lived in the tower and he just decides to date one of her team members that just so happens to be her boyfriend's ex-whatever-they-were. "Maybe he just goes for superheroes", Raven thought to herself as she stared at Terra across from her. Even though her and Beast Boy were no longer dating, she couldn't help but feel jealous of the girl. Long blonde hair, blue eyes, and a perfect smile that she flashed at Beast Boy him self. She rolled and moved 3 more spaces and bought Boardwalk. "I needed that for my set!" Bumble Bee complained, Cyborg's arm around her shoulder.
"Don't worry baby, you can still win," he said.
"Thanks, Sparky," she cooed and kissed his cheek. They started dating last week and couldn't be happier. "I wonder when Starfire and Robin will make it official," Raven wondered as Robin told her it was her turn. She rolled and landed right on Terra's Boardwalk.
"Looks like you owe me rent!" Terra said giggling. I reluctantly handed over the small pieces of paper I owed her.

Beast Boy had two tasks that night. The first was to talk to Terra. Once the game was over everyone was settling in to watch a movie. Terra stood at the stove, boiling a large pot of water for hot chocolate. Beast Boy took out small bowls to put different candies in, and also popcorn. He took this as this perfect opportunity to tell her without Raven knowing. "Terra, I need to talk to you," he said as he poured m&m's into a bowl. "Great, he's probably going to confess his love for me. Is he just realizing this now that I have a boyfriend?" Terra thought.
"What is it?" She asked, preparing the packets of hot chocolate.
"I don't know how I feel about you dating Jesse," he began, still focused on his task.
"Oh my GOD Beast Boy, I try to get over you and now you're telling me you don't want me dating anyone? You have a girlfriend so-"
"What are you talking about? I don't like it because that's Raven's ex, and I think he might be trying to make her jealous," Beast Boy said, confused.
"I didn't know he was Raven's ex...he never told me that," Terra said. "But stop being jealous, he loves me and that's that. Why would he even try to make her jealous. He probably dumped her for a reason," she says, then takes he finished tray of hot chocolate to the table. Beast Boy follows along with the snacks. "Well that didn't go well," he thought.

"Raven, can I talk to you for a second?" Beast Boy whispered to Raven while the rest of the Titans and company were busy watching Elf. She nodded and followed him out to the hallway. The lights were dim so the halls could be navigated but they could still see the screen.

"What is it," she said quietly as to not disturb the movie.
"I have something for you; close your eyes and put your hands out," he requested. She put two flat palms out in front of her and closed her eyes. She felt a small box in her hands, and opened her eyes to see her sense of touch was correct. She looks at him questioningly, but opens the box. Inside was a silver ring with an amethyst in the center with small emeralds surrounding the purple.
"Oh Beast Boy, that's sweet but, we're 17 and-" Beast Boy laughs.
"No, it's not an engagement ring, it's a promise ring," he sighs. "We've known each other long enough for you to know that I'm not serious about a lot of things, but one thing I am serious about is you." Raven blushes. "This is my promise, to always be loyal to you no matter what because I love you and want to be with you for as long as you allow me," he says sweetly. Raven blushes and slides the ring onto her finger. "And of course, I had to get one for myself," he says, showing off his ring, which was an emerald with amethysts on the outside. "I love you too, Gar," she says, then kisses him. She is now up against the wall with Beast Boy in front of her with them holding hands. She smiles against his soft green lips. "The others have probably noticed we're gone by now," she says after 10 minutes of romance.
"You always have to ruin the fun, don't you Rae," Beast Boy jokes.
"Somebody has to," she teases back.

Terra's P.O.V.

Beast Boy and Raven bailed out into the hall 10 minutes ago. Probably making out or something; why can't those two control themselves?! Jesse and I don't do that. Well, maybe once or twice, but that doesn't matter. Raven is probably jealous of me, and Beast Boy is jealous of Raven. There's no hope getting him back anymore, so I might as well have some fun! Jesse's so handsome and charming and poetic, exactly my type! We're perfect together.

Beast Boy and Raven came back, finally. Raven had this dumb grin on her face and they kept looking at each other. I'm going to find out what happened in that hallway.

I combined the ideas of @bookprincess01 and @poobear_09 who have been such great supporters of this story so I love them lots <3 I would also like to show who will be in my fanfiction and will not respond to any other entries. There are other that I have made up myself and there will be 1 original ship and 1 original evil person. I'm super sorry if some of you didn't get to be in my fanfiction, but it was really hard for me too because I knew I couldn't fit everyone. Please be a good sport about it though! And some of these characters didn't fit my story but were still really great. Those of you who weren't included I encourage you to take that character and write your own fanfiction because there were some great ideas and fanfictions are great for practicing your writing. Thank you so much everyone for your support. I almost gave up on this 5 times but you kept pushing me forward and giving me ideas and I am beyond grateful.
