The League of Villains, including myself, were gathered in the bar area. The bar was slightly sticky to the touch, causing my fingers to feel odd. Night before last, I had my freak out. Luckily, Toya hadn't uttered a word to anyone about it. Kurogiri cleaned some glasses as we talked.
"I'm thinking, we hit them when they least expect it." Spinner turned to me. Guess I had to participate. "Did you plan anything, any kind of trips when you still worked there?" I thought for a second.
"We were supposed to do a forest training camp in a month. It was originally going to be in the Southern region, but..." I tapped my chin in mock thought.
"I'm assuming because I've come here, they'll change the location. If I know those people, it'll be in the Northern region." The group could be seen nodding in response. I had tried to feed them little pieces of information here and there, but it was all coming to a head, unbeknownst to myself.
"Okay. We'll proceed with the kidnapping plan. Try and convert a few kids, if not, then we keep them as hostages." Spinner continued. My heart panged at the idea of them taking my kids.
"Looking at the class roster you gave us, I think the ones most likely to turn to our cause are that Bakugo kid, and... what was his name..." The reptilian was lost in thought. "Shinso Hitoshi." My stomach dropped. Toya shot me a look- knowing I detested the idea of them taking my kids. "Plus, considering how close you were, he'll be way more likely to join since you're here. His quirk will be useful too."
"...Yeah. Sounds good." I nodded before continuing. "Any word on Stain? He could be helpful with this." I tried to change the subject to avoid my rage shining through. Twice chimed in at this point.
"Oh him! Yeah, he's in Hosu City at the moment. I'll drop him a message, see if he can help out." A small silence followed, until Shigaraki himself broke it.
"I think tonight's the night, L/N." I met Shigaraki's eyes. "You're gonna get your quirk back."
I tried so hard, so hard, to not let any reaction shine through. My eyes widened slightly.
"Okay." I agreed.
"I'll take you. Kurogiri, take us there." Kurogiri nodded, opening a portal. I pushed the barstool away from me, and had one foot in the portal. I looked back at Toya for a moment. He notices. His expression changes from one of neutrality, to one of knowing.
Shit.
I knew this was the last time I'd see him as friends, and he knew it too. The plan was always to leave as soon as I got my quirk back. But for some reason, it hurt.
I step through the portal.
All For One, in all of his Bane-esque glory, stood waiting in the middle of an empty warehouse, clad in a suit. Moonlight shone through holes in the roof.
"I've been waiting to meet you. You've been quite integral to our operation, you know." I nodded, holding my breath.
"You've been a great help to us. I think Tomura has had enough of your quirk." Shigaraki nodded.
"I can only go invisible for a few seconds, so it kinda sucks." He shrugged. All For One beckoned us closer. He raised his hands in front of us.
I feel warm. Very warm. Like a blanket is comforting me in the middle of an icy winter.
Ah. That's my quirk.
I'm meant to leave now. Leave and never come back. Activate my quirk and run away as fast as possible.
Instead, I put my hands in the pockets of Shota's jacket.
"Thank you." I say with a smile. He chortles lowly.
