Run, Alpha, Run

Chapter 3

We ran till we were yet again at the edge of pack territory. Chris said he didn't know if the dogs had caught our scent, if they had they would've warne the rest of the mutts and the alpha would be here right now.

We waited a few more minutes before a patrol came our way. the patrol consisted of one girl and two guys. I could tell by the way that the guys eyes immidiatly focused on me that neither of them had mates. they both had sharp regal angular faces and they both had scruffy dark almost black hair except one had bright playful blue eyes and the other had dark uninviting brownish black eyes. the one with brown eyes radiated power, he wasn't Alpha but he was probably Beta. He was the one who stepped forward, "Rogues," he said in a deep voice that matched his eyes, "you are not welcome here." I took a step forward 

"We only wish to pass thru, if you try and stop us people, your people will get hurt."

"You're Atera, aren't you." he said unashamed of his roaming eyes. I nodded, taking another step forward, "Do we have to force our way thru or will you let us?" I asked, I could feel the others confusion, this was not the way it usually was but I was a little pissed off.

"I'm a bit disappointed, Atera, all the stories say you seduce your way in, am I not hot enough?" he growled, trying to seduce me. I ignored him, "Well?" I asked. he looked disappointed but he kept on eye raping me.

"You may go around." he said looking me in the eye daring me to go thru. challenge accepted.

"Force it is." the other shifted around me and they ran thru. I crossed the bored on foot and walked to the beta dude, the other rushed at me and all I did was punch them and they were lying on the floor in a heap. when I got to the beta and breathed in his ear, I saw him shiver with pleasure and I smiled slightly, "I can be very seductive if I want to be, Mr.Beta." I whispered sexily, I then bumped my hip against his and he purred and I barley managed not to giggle. I shifted into my wolf and I ran.

My paws thudded against the ground, I wasn't following the others trail I just ran. about ten of the pack mutts were attempting to keep up with me, but I left them in the dust within seconds.

I skidded to a halt right before I toppled over the edge of a cliff. Crap the stupid mutts had actually managed to corner me. I turned around my back paws right on the edge of the cliff. I could jump but there were to many things that could go wrong. the wolves came quicker than I thought, about twenty of them. Shit. Ten I could win a fight against easily, fifteen seventy percent chance of me winning, twenty forty percent chance that I would win. they were in tight ranks I noticed, I sized them up to see if my plan would work. I dug my paws into the ground and launched myself forward. a few seconds before I barreled into them I pushed off the ground with my paws practically flying over them. I landed on my paws with a painful thud but I kept running.

I slammed snout first into a huge, like freaking monumental, sweet smelling pitch black wolf. I jumped back into a semi crouch, letting out a small snarl. I stared intently at the wolf's rippling muscles under its silky black fur. the wolf radiated power, he must be the new Alpha, I felt strangely drawn to him. I studied him intently to see if it would be fight or flight. I let my eyes trail up to his and that was my mistake. my bright green eyes met electric blue ones and the world stopped. my wolf was howling she was ecstatic, elated. I was not.

"Mate!" she screamed her voice ringing in my head making it impossible to escape that word. In that instant I decided, flight.

I spun around running back the way I came. it took all my will power to not stop and bow down to him. it was harder to fight the mate bond in wolf form but somehow I managed it.

the dogs were there blocking my path again and I realized he must have warned them. But yet again I jumped, more like flew over them, I landed right on the edge of the cliff. I switched to my human form in less than a second, quickly choosing my only option, I jumped.
