An order had come in from the jedi council ordering all clones to meet in hangar 12, otherwise known as the cursed hangar mainly due to the doors never opening on time or the feeling of spirits roaming around it but it also held the new venator-class star destroyer which had been built in wicked time. Yes, the clones knew an announcement was coming but they did not think of what was going to happen. Plus on top of that, ranks of clones that appeared were unusual especially when Delta Squad and clone force 99 responded to the calls, both squads normally not a part of what many called roll-calls. Especially clone force 99 who stood out not for their changes in appearances but more because of their age, they looked so young compared to others.
“Rex, what’s going on?” Fives whined, glancing at the captain who stood just as confused as the 212th were in one corner while Cody spoke with other commanders including Wolffe, Bly, Gree, Doom and surprising to them all, Fox was here as well. The most hated clone out there was standing in front of the Coruscant Guard who all slumped instead of being on constant duty like their commander.
“No idea. Echo, can you reach the general?” Rex murmured glancing at Echo who shook his head, seated beside him was Jesse and Hardcase who had Kix in between them, the medic’s eyes closed.
“Hunter, it would seem locking mechanisms are being…” a voice from beside Rex had him turning to see Clone force 99 tucked against the wall beside them. The one with the goggles speaking about the doors and pointing at his tablet. Rex froze when all heads turned to see the doors locking.
“Hey! Why are they locking us in?” some clone shouted only for an automatic voice to spread around the hangar.
“Unfortunately due to the war's circumstances; the clone programme has been officially shut down and the evidence must be wiped as the universe looks on towards a new army made up of nat-borns and those who can make us proud. Clones were nothing but improved droids. So with this decision; I would say the clones helped win the war but they just caused more problems! In fact, the Jedi have no say in what is about to happen. Yours Sincerely, Chancellor Palpatine”
Every single one of them froze after that message until someone cursed.
“FUCKING BASTARD!”
All heads turned to see Fox, the Commander of Coruscant was angry, his helmet no longer on his head showing bruises, cuts and many more injuries as he moved to the connector plate in the wall and started to hack it when his credentials didn’t work.
“We are…” Fives turned to Tup and Dogma who sat on the floor huddled up to one another. “We are going to die” Tup said sadly only for a commanding voice to turn attention to the marshall commander in the room.
“Listen up!” Cody’s voice followed by many of the commanders at his sides made him look intimidating. “This is not the END! We will work out a way out of here! Each legion will divide and take to the…”
“Marshall Commander Cody, how brave of you. I do like your optimism but it would seem you will not be able to escape this hangar or open any of the doors as without an entity of the force, you will not be able to move the Venator Class Star Destroyer I have left leaning against the main door. None of you should get your hopes up or revenge schemes because all your jedi are trapped within a powerful source and are watching as we speak of this entire hangar. All of you will die and they get to watch it. Now, let the show begin!”
Cody froze as did the others when the ventilation system started to release a green gas into the room.
“Everyone lie down! Now!” Wolffe ordered, many clones decided to do so but there was not enough room. Fox refused to wear his helmet, giving it to another coruscant guard member who had forgotten to pick his up.
