I never met the dead man
Though the town mourned his name.
He collapsed right on my street
But I'll never see his grave.I never met the dead man
The black, unholy ghost
The people burn money and things to call him to them
Though I burn sage to tell him to go.I never met the dead man
Because to this day
I refuse to think that
I may have caused his death in some way.
