Amy was dressed in all black as her husband was being buried in the ground. Tears ran down her face and dripped off. The taste of salt lingered in her mouth. She felt pain in her heart, a crushing pain. She felt numb.
Her husband had died at work one day. They believed that it was a heart attack. Amy and him had gotten into a fight before work that day. And she got a call from the hospital that her husband had passed.
And now she was left with her one year old son. She didn't know how she would raise him on her own. She felt guilty about their fight. The last words she said to him where not nice.
She watched as the last of the dirt got put on his coffin. Tears came down faster.
As time went on people began to leave. Until it was just her and jack.
